Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible, overpriced rooms From the moment we got there, things were different than expected. This hotel was under construction. There was dust all over. Our check-in process was made nice and easy by the young lady at the front desk - this was probably the only good thing about this hotel unfortunately. The Room - The room size was decent, no complains here, just the bed needed more pillows perhaps. The bathroom - Bathroom was absolutely terrible. Even motels have better bathrooms than this location of Holiday Inn Express did. There are a lot of changes that need to be done to the bathrooms here. First of all, the floor - grimy and dirty - not clean and white. It also had a weird rigid texture to it. Did not feel classy or elegant - felt like I was staying at a cheap motel. Second thing I noticed which bothered me the most, was that there was no place to put our soaps/shampoos/conditioners. How can a bathroom not have a spot to put soaps and toiletries inside it? That is just terrible engineering. Last thing I was not a fan of, was the actual shower head - it was old and did not have any options to adjust the flow/speed. It was a disappointing shower experience for us. Holiday Inn Express let us down big time. Room Service - When we called to get more toothpaste and an extra towel, we were told to come down and get it as there was no staff available. This was really really disappointing. We paid $122 for one night at this Holiday Inn Express to hear that they can't even deliver a fresh towel to our room? Please tell me one reason why I should have been happy with my stay. Please tell me why you deserved to charge me $122 a night for that room? Please tell me why I should continue to give Holiday Inn Express my valuable business in the future? 16 December 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Construction in progress I have never had an issue with IHG hotels. I should have been advised of the construction underway and that no amenities would be offered. At the very least, breakfast vouchers for the nearby IHOP should have been offered. 15 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Staff helpful but internet connection nonexistent This property was under renovation, so the lobby was being remodeled, but the staff was doing the best they could under the circumstances. We couldn't access the wireless network, even after a technician was called in to correct it. 12 December 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Remodel Seems like 6 months ago you had to replace the tile in the front entry and now are doing it again. This caused for check in to take three times as long. I was surprised that during a time where the guests have to work around construction that the rate is $20 more than normal. Beds and breakfasts are always great, this is why I say here about once a month. The only reason I sometimes stay elsewhere in Fresno and that is this location seems to make very big moves in price and the competitors across the street become more reasonable. Hopefully remodel wont take long and things will get back to normal soon. 08 December 2014
