Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Grand Dad "Fix it" Very good value with an excellent breakfast
Returning form Cornwall and an ideal stop over.
Hotel clean and fit for purpose. Breakfast was excellent and not crowded with plenty of choice left although we came down after 9-00am.
Would stay again. The adjacent pub serves very good food

Sat Nav took me straight to the hotel from the M5. Good hotel, economically priced. Facilities including WiFi good. Pub next door provides a good choice of food and real ale. Breakfast has a reasonable choice of hot food and is inclusive in the price.

Breakfast sausages could be better but this does not detract from the 10/10 overall experience.
As per Schwarzeneger... "I will be back"

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good value and convenient for Slimbridge
I always stay here when I break my journey to Devon to visit the bird reserve at Slimbridge (15 mins away). The room wass very well furnished, and had a new TV with the full range of channels I get a t home - meaning you can get both BBC 4 and Radio4, which are my favourite channels. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the receptionist remembered me from previous visits. I was given a quiet room as requested. I got a very good deal booking only a week or so in advance . Breakfast was included, so perhaps I shouldn't complain at the price, but had recently stayed in a rival (PI), and Holiday Inn Express could learn a lot from their breakfasts so I hope HEX will learn from the comments below.
I like to start with a bowl of yogurt, muesli and fruit, but the prepared was limited to tinned pineapple. Layout was illogical. Get your plate from one end of the room, go to a stand in the middle of the room for yogurt, return to the end of the room for muesli, then back to the middle for fruit! They seem to think everybody just has cereal and milk! Cooked breakfast was limited to scrambled egg (very good - the best I have had in an hotel), baked beans and a "plastic" sausage. No mushrooms or tomatoes, no bacon! They should source their sausages from a good local butcher - I assume these came from a major catering supplier.coffee wasn't very good either - from a machine.

Used this Inn to stop off the M5, very efficient check in, good clean room and comfortable. The only downside for me was that I would like to have had the choice of Bacon for breakfast
