The Holiday Inn Express at Greenock was good value for money. Gluten free bread was available on request and there were options for both us as vegetarians. May 21, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Return Visit I use this Hotel whenever I visit Family in Port Glasgow, unfortunately fell below the standard I have been used to in previous visits. I was at Strathclyde Park the previous 2 nights as we were attending a Family Funeral in Glasgow and as a comparison Green fell far short in all aspects of service: Breakfast: The hot cabinets for the Croisants and Pastries was not switched on therefore everything was cold. There was a distinct lack of staff in the dining room, the kitchen porter spent more time sitting behind the reception with other staff members which lacked in professionalism at all levels. Room: I stayed in the same room during a visit last August and reported a fault with the electrical sockets, the fault still still existed. On the second night, we were preparing to return to South Wales and were wakened through the night by noise in the Corridor. I reported this to the Receptionist on departure and was told that the Manager would be informed, unfortunately I have not been advised of any follow up action. I like this hotel as it satisfies my needs when visiting family and hopefully this was a minor glitch. I am returning to attend another family funeral and will book in for a week, however if the same occurs, we will be checking out and going elsewhere. HIE, get your act together and remember you are there for the customer, not the other way around. Lets see what next week brings May 14, 2016
