The only downside of the stay was the soft mattresses that folded into the middle. We had been there the previous week and had to ask to have our mattress changed for the same reason. New mattresses please.

Arrived at hotel and could not believe our luck. Everything you could need around the hotel for a family of four. The hotel reception was excellent and check in really easy. Then come night time we could not get the room cool enough. The room was laid out nice and was spacious and lovely shower........ The main bed was awful you had to cling to the side to stop your body moving I to the centre as it was so soft and all springs past there best. The sofa bed was perfect for a two year old but not really a great bed as we all ended up
On the sofa bed as was better than main bed woke up sore and dehydrated from the heat to go down stairs for breakfast were some over done sausages awaited us with two crusty/ stale pastrys. The cereal was the best option. I would stay Again as it was nice overall hotel think our Room was Poorly located as when window opened two inches the road noise was too loud. The bed was past it's best. If we had a good bed and cooler room and better breakfast selection all good.

The breakfast was great. I had fresh fruit, yogurt, weetabix with fresh milk, sausage with scrambled egg & beans, wholemeal toast, tea and finished off with a croissant. What is there to complain about?
I was able to park for free in the ASDA car park next door to the hotel. The room was clean & warm and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Holiday inn Keith Street is located just two minutes from the M74. It has a cinema less than 2 minute walk where you get discount as a guest of the holiday inn. There is no shortage of restaurants within a short walk.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Curlywurly Disappointing....must try harder.
We were attending a weekend Curling Competition at the nearby Hamilton Ice Rink & chose the hotel on the basis of its proximity & general good reputation of the Holiday Inn Express group.
Our main areas of concern were as follows:
(1) Parking....although free parking is available at the adjacent Europarks Car Park (bookable at Reception), the car park itself is extremely busy as it adjoins the large retail park & cinema complex. While finding a parking place may be easy midweek or in the evening, doing so at a weekend seems to be nigh impossible. After cruising the car park for a considerable time, we eventually parked up at the local authority car park nearby (Pay & Display) & moved our vehicle to the free facility later in the evening.
(2) Late night Residents Bar facilities....as a group of competitors (all resident at the hotel) we arrived back at the Hotel around midnight, seeking only to have a nightcap & a chat about the day's competition. We were advised by Reception that the Bar was closed - even though there were Residents still using it at that time. It put a very disappointing damper on the atmosphere - & bear in mind this was not a drunken unruly mob of sports fans, but participants in a major international curling event....
(3) Breakfast Menu.....although the difficulties of having a running buffet-style breakfast are appreciated, a choice of sausage, scrambled egg & beans or sausage, beans & scrambled egg, or even beans, scrambled egg & sausage is really NOT acceptable....this was about 8.30am, not at the end of the serving period when understandably some items might be "off the menu".
Yes, the rooms were clean & adequately furnished, the staff friendly & sympathetic & the facilities acceptable, but the overall experience we would rate as poor.
