Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice couple of nights Staff, accommodation, breakfast all excellent. Only slight niggle slight noise from night club, but not enough to put us off coming again. Well done! 17 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location & breakfast bonus Fantastic location, walking distance to town centre. Situated within a retail area also with restaurants and shops. Just by the main motorways so easy to find and explore area. Hotel was clean our room was big, and breakfast was an added bonus in the morning. We enjoyed our stay. 13 March 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Basic Regular visitor to this hotel for the amenities around the hotel as everything from resturants to cinemas are within walking distance the only downside to this hotel however modern it looks is the poor quality TV's & channels provided in the rooms they really need updating. 08 March 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel, bad location This hotel is new and pretty good. But come the night time, the big nightclub next door kicks off and we had no sleep. Doors slamming, cars racing, drunken people fighting and screaming. We got a refund and went elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend fir peace, quiet or families. 08 March 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Locaation The only downside of the stay was the soft mattresses that folded into the middle. We had been there the previous week and had to ask to have our mattress changed for the same reason. New mattresses please. 12 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to break a journey. Stopped for the 2nd time in Hamilton to break the journey from the Midlands to Aberdeen. Great people to check in & out. Breakfast with lots of options. Left glasses, called and returned following day! Great hotel & many thanks. 08 February 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfy and too warm Arrived at hotel and could not believe our luck. Everything you could need around the hotel for a family of four. The hotel reception was excellent and check in really easy. Then come night time we could not get the room cool enough. The room was laid out nice and was spacious and lovely shower........ The main bed was awful you had to cling to the side to stop your body moving I to the centre as it was so soft and all springs past there best. The sofa bed was perfect for a two year old but not really a great bed as we all ended up On the sofa bed as was better than main bed woke up sore and dehydrated from the heat to go down stairs for breakfast were some over done sausages awaited us with two crusty/ stale pastrys. The cereal was the best option. I would stay Again as it was nice overall hotel think our Room was Poorly located as when window opened two inches the road noise was too loud. The bed was past it's best. If we had a good bed and cooler room and better breakfast selection all good. 06 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent breakfast The breakfast was great. I had fresh fruit, yogurt, weetabix with fresh milk, sausage with scrambled egg & beans, wholemeal toast, tea and finished off with a croissant. What is there to complain about? I was able to park for free in the ASDA car park next door to the hotel. The room was clean & warm and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Will definitely stay again if in the area. 04 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff good clean rooms Holiday inn Keith Street is located just two minutes from the M74. It has a cinema less than 2 minute walk where you get discount as a guest of the holiday inn. There is no shortage of restaurants within a short walk. 02 February 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing....must try harder. We were attending a weekend Curling Competition at the nearby Hamilton Ice Rink & chose the hotel on the basis of its proximity & general good reputation of the Holiday Inn Express group. Our main areas of concern were as follows: (1) Parking....although free parking is available at the adjacent Europarks Car Park (bookable at Reception), the car park itself is extremely busy as it adjoins the large retail park & cinema complex. While finding a parking place may be easy midweek or in the evening, doing so at a weekend seems to be nigh impossible. After cruising the car park for a considerable time, we eventually parked up at the local authority car park nearby (Pay & Display) & moved our vehicle to the free facility later in the evening. (2) Late night Residents Bar a group of competitors (all resident at the hotel) we arrived back at the Hotel around midnight, seeking only to have a nightcap & a chat about the day's competition. We were advised by Reception that the Bar was closed - even though there were Residents still using it at that time. It put a very disappointing damper on the atmosphere - & bear in mind this was not a drunken unruly mob of sports fans, but participants in a major international curling event.... (3) Breakfast Menu.....although the difficulties of having a running buffet-style breakfast are appreciated, a choice of sausage, scrambled egg & beans or sausage, beans & scrambled egg, or even beans, scrambled egg & sausage is really NOT acceptable....this was about 8.30am, not at the end of the serving period when understandably some items might be "off the menu". Yes, the rooms were clean & adequately furnished, the staff friendly & sympathetic & the facilities acceptable, but the overall experience we would rate as poor. 20 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant&helpful staff. We always use the Holiday Inn Express in Hamilton, due to the fact that it is the best hotel for value on the route from our home in the North of Scotland to our daughters home in Manchester and is approximately halfway. We are always treated with a smile and made to feel comfortable 17 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience Great service an very friendly staff. Room very clean 17 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy and clean From the moment we arrived we ere made very welcome by the reception staff who were most helpful. They took time to explain to us older folk how the pakling system worked and times of breakfast etc. The rooms were comfy and clean. The tv arrangements looked complicated but we were not into watching tele. We could have done with the bar being open when we returned from the wedding reception as a wee nightcap would have gone down well. 17 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful staff Stayed here on route to the Isle of Skye, found staff to be be very helpful as we required two adjoining rooms, as we are two adults and three children, at first we had two rooms four rooms apart, but soon sorted to two with an adjoining door. Thank you. Disappointed with parking as had to pay £5.70 for 24 yours as car park that hotel offers free parking in was full of bargain hunters for the sales which were on in the local shopping centre. 05 January 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst nights sleep ever! Stayed here for 1 night with our family on route to England, worst nights sleep ever. The reason for our awful night was the mattress, it sank in the middle. When we complained in the morning the receptionist new there was a problem with the mattress but really wasn't that bothered we had the most uncomfortable night ever!! The breakfast was terrible too, our party of 10 definitely will not be back & would not recommend! 03 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel One of the best Holiday Inn's we have stayed at. The staff were welcoming. Décor inviting. Breakfast excellent. Couldn't fault this hotel. Free parking next to the hotel. 03 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay! The family room was a great size especially considering that we had our five year old with us. Beds were a little too soft for our liking and the pillows and duvet were made with synthetic fibre. We would have preferred a better quality pillow and firmer bed since the room's primary function was sleeping! The bathroom facilities were great - clean, very spacious shower, especially for my 6ft husband and amply supplied with towels. We appreciated the mugs that were supplied with the tea making facility rather than the usual cups. A very good stay with only one minor disappointment - why no wardrobe? It was impossible to keep our room looking tidy as all our clothes were continually spilling out of the strange shelving system that was the wardrobe. It also included only a few hangers - not enough for all our winter coats, sweaters, party outfits, etc. 01 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value for money We stayed for 4 nights in a family room. Don't be put off by its location as we didn't hear any traffic noise. One of my children found the sofa bed uncomfortable, so the hotel provided an extra duvet for her to lie on to cover the join between the cushions & she was fine after that. The room was spotless & cleaned every day. The shower room was also very clean & the shower was powerful. The bathroom includes shower gel & they are happy to provide complimentary essentials if you've forgotten anything. The bedroom could do with some drawers or cupboards as I felt our clothes were stuffed onto the open shelves & there wasn't much storage space for a family of 4 staying for several nights. I thought the breakfast was very good, but my children would have liked bacon rather than sausages every day. I expect it's easier for the hotel to keep sausages warm & in an edible condition. The toasters might benefit from an upgrade as they were very slow & caused a bit of a bottleneck when the hotel was busy. We took advantage of the hotel discount at the cinema next door. Perhaps the hotel could broker discounts with the local restaurants too? We would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again. 01 January 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas stay 2013 We booked a family room for 5 nights over Christmas as we were visiting family and friends. We were hoping our family room would have twin beds and a bath, slightly disappointed as it had neither. A Double sofa bed wasn't really suitable for a teenage daughter and our 5 year old son. A bath would have been a good option as our son isn't keen on showers! There is no carpark at the hotel, guests are advised to park in amongst the retail park shoppers and advise car reg at the hotel reception. We struggled to get a space a few times (Christmas busy period). Those points aside, the hotel was comfortable, friendly, clean, breakfast was a great asset for us and would recommend the hotel. 30 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best nights sleep in a long time Stayed over on Christmas day night at Hamilton. Hotel and room were very clean. Breakfast was good. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely stay again. 30 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excdellent value for money Our title says it all Although the room was beside a very busy road we heard no traffic noise and had a great sleep.I am going to contact the company to see if they will put me in touch with their bedding supplier. My wife is entirely dependant upon her wheelchair but the room was very large and easy for her to negotiate as was the wet room/shower,and very accessable lifts breakfast room etc. The staff were very helpful and in days gone by we would have tried to poach some of them! Breakfast was fresh and very tasty .We were in the Hotel Trade for many years and can only give our best recommendation by saying that we will always stay there when in the area. 20 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel great service had a few issues but these were down to central reservations and the hotel sorted and offered great customer service 10 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An absolutely excellent experience! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, Hamilton, last weekend and I am delighted to report that the experience was first-class! The premises were spotlessly clean, the rooms were lovely and the staff were faultlessly-lovely. We were genuinely delighted by the whole experience and will definitely be back! Well done Holiday Inn Express, Hamilton. 03 December 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Only recommended for a short stay We stayed in the hotel, with family, for five nights - I think that was a mistake. The rooms and services are just not built around the idea for people staying for more than one or two days - no cupboards in the rooms, room was not hoovered for five days, you can hear people walking in the rooms above you or outside your room, same breakfast menu for five consecutive days - even the fruits were not changed, the sofa bed - laid down as the KID's bed - was too in-comfortable. On the brighter side staff is good, warm and helpful. 02 December 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good access from rail and confortable stayment Within 10 minutes walk from Hamilton Central rail station. Inside dinner is available, actually many guests were eating. So concern was that I had to wait my order for one football game between UK and Spain. 01 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Hamilton My wife and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Hamilton. It was a base for visiting our family living nearby. We are glad we made the choice to stay in this hotel. We have stayed in many hotels both here and abroad and can say that the experience at this hotel rates favourably with the best of ones that we have stayed in. Rooms were very kept very clean and the staff were likewise friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the hot breakfast which set us up for the day kept out the Scottish cold! Would certainly book here again on our next visit over the border. 27 November 2013
