Our 8 hotels in Germany’s 5th largest city include a range of Frankfurt budget hotels.
Located in the region of Hesse, Frankfurt am Main is Germany’s financial centre and a city that attracts a huge volume of tourists. It’s a city with plenty of landmarks, including The Main tower, which is pretty hard to miss – a 650ft modern looking skyscraper towering over the city. Take a trip to the top for some spectacular views over the city. Other landmarks you should take the time to see include Goethe House, Mainkai Street and the Sachsenhauser Warte.
Frankfurt is home to more than 30 museums. You’ll struggle to fit them all into a single visit, but do try to take in the Staedel Art Museum, the German Film Museum and the Money Museum.
Shoppers could easily wile away a day here. The most popular shopping street in the city is Zeil where you’ll find a number of brands and huge department stores. Head for Goethestrasse if you fancy indulging. Here you will find luxury boutiques and designer labels. There are several regular markets in the city as well, perhaps the most popular one being the Bornheim market held around the small clock tower.
Eintracht Frankfurt play their football in the city’s Commerzbank Arena, but football’s far from the only sport played professionally here. The Frapport Skyliners basketball team, who play in the Basketball Bundesliga, also call the city home.
Frankfurt is an accessible city, with flights from many UK airports. It’s well connected to Germany’s other major cities as well as to other cities across Europe.
