Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Experience My wife and I stayed at this hotel late January 2013 and we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff at the reception are very helpful. 03 February 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location in Hong Kong This hotel is located at a very convenient location in Hong Kong but it will not be affected by noisy traffic. Walking distance to MTR, ATM machine, various choice of food around the area. 31 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Nice hotel, very new in this area. Just the breakfast can be boring as it is the same food everyday and no really so many choice. 29 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, very good bed. Breakfast facilities poor + The location is perfect. very near to MTR, only 5 minutes walk The room is big enough, good and clean. The bed is very comfortable. - Breakfast room is far too small. Waiting for table every day. Too much tables in this small room, where you have to be carefull not to disturb anybody. Breakfast poor. Food cold and not replenished in time. Staff lacking politeness. 29 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Great location, MTR nearby but red taxis difficult to get on the hotel street. We walked to the Star Ferry pier from the hotel may time. It's a 20 minutes walk and faster than taxi. The feature that I liked was the laundry room, very convenient and clean. It's also close to markets and restaurants (plenty!). The buffet breakfast was great the first day but after a week...a little bit tired of the same noodles and scamble eggs... 28 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice and new When we visited the hotel, they were still putting the finishing touches on the outside of the building. The inside, however, was clean and refreshing. The rooms were small (the norm for HKG), but well designed so that you hardly noticed. The staff was courteous and professional despite the petite lobby. The subway is only two short blocks away and the Airport Express shuttle is across the street. Then there was the attempt at breakfast. The mini restaurant was staffed by glassy eyed oblivious servers. Over the din of clanking silver and plates was the chorus of ‘excuse me, pardon, sorry’ due to customers bumping in to each other. Lastly, the food was a tragedy. The scrambled eggs were crusty on top and runny in the middle. The frozen hash brown triangles were chalky and cold. Even the Chinese congee lacked any condiments. In a food city like Hong Kong, it is inexcusable. They should give a continental breakfast. 27 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, relaxing and pleasant Excellent staff - from the point of check in to the point of check out. The breakfast room is a touch on the small side to cater to a full hotel - but on the grand scheme of things this did not detract from what was otherwise an ideal location for a great value for money stay. 27 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Cosy & Comfortable Stay Greeted upon check-in by courteous & effcient staff. Subsequently they offered correct answers to our queries during our stay. However, one of the staff gave rather vague answers when we were enquiring about the Airport Express Shuttle Bus. He seemed to be evasive and afraid to commit. I felt he could have just given us the basic facts. The room was sufficient with comfortable bed & beddings with sufficent space for us to pack our 2 suitcases. The free wifi connection was quick & strong. The bathroom was small but regular by Hong Kong standard. However the designer gave half the bathroom to the shower stall which was good for us. The shower however was not very strong but just sufficent for us to get a clean wash. The basic toiletriies and amenities which one usually finds in other hotels are generally missing - I especially missed the body lotion as the weather was still cold & thus, drying for our skin. The breakfast was good but repetitive so if one stays more than 2 nights, one may find the breakfast boring - I'd rather the hotel gives us the options of including breakfast or not in our booking. Speaking of food, the hotel sits on a famous area of Sheung Wan where one is never more than 10 steps from any F & B outlets/stall/shop. Location-wise however, the hotel is a good 7-minutes walk (depending on how fast/slow one walks) to the MTR or tram rides to other parts of HK Island/Kowloon. 26 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Value for money Staff is very helpful, room is clean and quiet. Price is right. 25 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In my opinion, will remain as an excellent choice This is the second time I stayed here within 2 months. No complain. Again, if you are a location guy for either leisure or business district, you can't ask for more. Fabulous transportation availability, easy to get to anywhere. If you like soho night life, it is just under 10 minutes walk. At the same time, I also realized 2 very super friendly and fabulous "domestic partner" bar that I personally felt comfortable with their service without bias. 23 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by convinient location Easy access from MTR or Tram and is able to get to Central around 10 minutes by foot. Breakfast was crowded and less variety. It is a little bit difficult to use soap dispenser at shower room, and there was no shampoo and rinse. 20 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Short Stay at Holiday Inn SoHo We've had a short stay at Holiday Inn SoHo and it was quite nice, good value for money, and a very convenient location. 19 January 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast area needs expansion & 1 elevator is always out of service This hotel is only recommended because of its location that is close to Central and the Hong Kong Station. If you have plenty of time and never in a rush, that is fine. Not suggested for business travellers. With so many guests in the hotel, the breakfast area is too small. Always a long line up and you do not bother to wait. Even you got a seat, always bumped into each other as the tables are so packed. When someone beside your table started to cough, you want to run away as they placed the table to close to each other. In addition, with over 30 storeys, there are only 3 elevators. There is always 1 elevator that has problems. Experience numerous time within 1 week. With such a new hotel, I am surprised the hotel is so new and has such problems. 13 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HKG experience Nice and comfort room, perfect location. Not the best view, nut still if you are lucky enough u may see some nice pictures. Ok for a short break or last time booking. Rooms are slightly bigger then usually in HK, so you shouldn't worry about how tiny is it. Very slow lifts to go up up and down btw. 12 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location Excellent location - 5 minutes walk to the MTR, but even better, the trams at Western Markets! We used them every day, sometimes several times a day. Both Eastern (Chinese, Korean & Vietnamese) restuarants and take-outs within a few mins walk, plus McDonalds and Pizza Hut. Don't miss Cat St markets! The local area is more like "old Hong Kong" - not flash, but gritty with charm. We found it safe, even at night. Breakfast - we'd read it was just average, catering to the Asian clients. We were pleasantly surprised to see a fair mix of West & East items. Mixing them up a bit to add variety would be even better. Restaurant staff very effecient, and friendly, especially to children. Front-Desk - efficient, but not particularly friendly (no "Hello's" as we walked right past them) - ignored us where possible. Room: Yes, it's small, but perfectly ok. We had 3 in each of 2 rooms, and it suited us ok. Free Wifi was good. 11 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great New Hotel near SOHO Location is fantastic being a 2 minute walk to the Sheung Wan MTR station. Lots of great local restaurants in area. Check in was fast and efficient. We had a lovely stay on the 30th floor facing Victoria Harbour. The view was spectacular and amazing at night.! Room was large, clean and better than expected for HK standards. Queen bed was firm and liked the selection of firm and soft pillows. Free Wi-fi and breakfast was great.! We thought there was plenty of room for breakfast . It depended on what time you got there. The patio area was used for overflow and opened most days for breakfast. Loved having the laundry room and business centre available on the 3rd floor. Overall this hotel was a great value and base camp to explore Hong Kong!! 10 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Change menu in breakfast every day the same The room was comfortable and the service was excellent but just they need change something at the breakfast my kids said again!!!! the same breakfast!!!! the buffet is excellent but they need to put new thing every few days I don't know, something different, for make happy to the family than enjoy for a week over there..... 09 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and clean Everything was very nice except for the breakfast. Standing in queue 15 minutes every morning is not acceptable, also very poor selection. We took our breakfast in the french cafe just beside the hotel. No toilets in public areas 09 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stressful Morning Breakfast with Disappointment Dear Sir, We would like to express our comment about the breakfast service in the morning. We only used half of the breakfast vouchers, The remain of the vouchers we have returned to the Front Desk when we checked out. The reasons are as follows: a. The Restaurant for Breakfast is not big enough to accomodate the numbers of the customers. Several times, we have to queue and the queueing area is very tight. b. We tried different timing but still crowded. Then they tried to make customers to share table. To me, it feels like you eat in a Fast Food place. Very uncomfortable and very disappointed. Lastly, can we recommend, in future, customer can choose whether to pay the room rate incl breakfast or without breakfast? Thank you for your attention to this matter. 09 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good location We were visiting relatives in Hong Kong and took a 2 night break from Clearwater Bay to go into the city. This hotel was in a great location for our favorite places - only one block off Queen's Rd and 10 mins walk to Hollywood Rd and Staunton, Lan Fai Kwong, Soho, etc.. Price was good, suite was large for Hong Kong, breakfast and internet were free - that's a bonus. Hotel was clean and comfortable on our visit. 06 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by strategic location & helpful staff the location is great, easy access to MRT, Macao Ferry, food stall, and great dim sum is just opposite of the hotel. The staffs are helpful too to arrange per request. 02 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brand new property in a very convenient location Stayed here for 3 nights. The building is brand new. Everything was well appointed. However the rooms were cramped as with all hotels in Hong Kong. The Sheung Wan MTR station is only a 5 min walk. The food at breakfast was good, but the selection never changed. Another convenient feature about this hotel is the self service laundry facilities. 02 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and good bed The check in area is very tight but remember this is a Holiday Inn express. Location is fantastic but finding it from Sheung Wan MTR station can be confusing. Fortunately I have a map marked by a previous Golden mile. I stayed on the 33rd floor with great views. The room was spacious, clean and better than expected. The free breakfast was good and WiFi excellent.. The bed was very comfortable and everything looks new. Great restaurants around the hotel from Coral to a Malaysian restaurant, Sabah. A great Thai restaurant round the corner that serves very good Hainanese Chicken rice. The HI bus stop is very near that takes you to the Hong Kong train for the airport. All in great stay and great value. 02 January 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just Isn't worth the price This was my first stay at this hotel (not my first trip to HK this year). Hotel is new and clean. Rooms are pretty small and very basic. They charged me such a high price for the night I stayed (it was even more expensive from the grand Stanford intercontinental) but didn’t have any choice… For this price, for sure isn’t worth it… 30 December 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay!! Great location, conveniently located as MTR station within walking distance. Pleasant surprise discovery is the TingTing buses on main road. Super convenient & affordable, brings you direct to Central/Wanchai area in a jiffy! Saves you the long walk within the MTR station too! Comfortable stay, as hotel is still very new. Though room space is tight, but within expectations given that its a budget hotel. Washroom is also tad bit small, but the smart design compensates for the tight space. Breakfast spread is reasonable too, with sufficient choices (international/western/chinese). In worst case, can just pop over to the HK tea cafe next door or across the street. Staff are friendly, & very willing to help. Staff went to main road to hitch taxi to hotel entrance, when we were leaving for airport with our luggages. Saved us the hassle of having to call for taxi or lugging luggages out to main road to flag for taxi. 29 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and excellent service We arrived Hong Kong very early in the morning. Since we are the Platinum Prority Club Member, we got the room upgrade and check in right a way. The staffs are helpful and very nice. The location of the hotel is very convenience, just a few minutes walk to the subway. Also the breakfast is much better than the standard HIE in North Amercian. The only compliant is the facuet in the batheroom which is the design problem. Other than that the room is cozy and the bed is very comfortable. 21 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great find in great location I just needed a place for a quick overnight in Hong Kong. The room is clean, easy walk from train and ferry, bed was very comfortable. The staff were really friendly on checkin and pointed us to where to go for dinner and drinks later. Minutes after getting in the room, the maid delivered two cold cans of milk coffee! A very nice touch. I would definitely stay here again when I need a moderate price place on the Island. Breakfast was perfectly decent - my only gripe was that it was noisy sitting outside on the terrace with jackhammers etc. Not good for my headache :-) 20 December 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 地點不好找。 20 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express-SoHo This is a new hotel located on Hong Island and close to the metro. I normally stay at the Holiday Inn - Golden Mile on the Kowloon side but it was full and this hotel seemed like a nice alternative. Having stayed here for a few nights, I found the hotel to actually be better than the Golden Mile Holiday Inn. Beside a lower cost, I found the facility to be very clean, the staff very friendly, and the location to the business sites I needed to go to were far better. The downside is that you need to a take a metro ride (with a transfer) to go to Kowloon or a 15 minute walk to the Star Ferry. The metro is only about 250 meters from the Hotel entrance - about three very short blocks away. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who has business on the Island side and for those who enjoy it, the HK night life is not far away - 20 minute walk or a low cost taxi ride. The only downside and this is fairly minor, is that it lacks a business lounge. I would think this could be done at very low cost and would drive a bit more business traffic to the hotel. 18 December 2012
