Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable room with plenty of space The hotel was very good. The room was comfortable and quite spacious. Very clean with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of options to choose from. A great start to the day. The hotel is close to Schipol and can be reached by train as well as by shuttle. Closeness to the rail link also means that the city is easily accessible within 20 minutes. Good value and a great location 07 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and clean This hotel is comfortable and clean. The rooms are of a high standard. The staff are very friendly. However there is no iron in the room and to use the iron you have to visit a service room on the 2nd floor where there are 2 old cheap irons(for the whole hotel). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location We stayed at the Amsterdam-Schiphol Holiday Inn for one night in July 2013. It is located a few minutes away by train from AMS with about a 10 minute walk from the train station in an area surrounded by office buildings. The clean, neat room was of a functional size with a lovely tiled shower. No toiletries but instead dispensers provided soap. There was an electric kettle with coffee and tea in the room. The only problem we encountered was the sagging mattress, but the nice person at the front desk explained that in a months time all the mattresses will be replaced. The closest restaurant l'Hirondelle is a 10 min walk away, and has a fantastic deck overlooking a large rectangular pond with ducks and weeping willow. We were very happy with our meals, especially the herring starter and cheese plate to finish. If you stay at this Holiday Inn be sure to check out this restaurant. 29 July 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beware of the free airport shuttle The rooms were very nice at a good price. However, beware! The website states a "free shuttle from the airport to the hotel". In every other Holiday Inn Express as well as major competitors, they have provided a free shuttle TO and from the airport - but not so here! Only when you checked in at the hotel did you find out it was going to cost 7.50 Euro each person to return to the airport! Nowhere is this explained in their hotel ads and was a bit deceptive. So, in reality, the shuttle is not free, but you are being expected to pay all of it when you return to the airport. 29 July 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel perfect stay, this hotel is a little further from the airport than other places to stay but the rail station is close so its fairly easy to get into the city. Hoofdorp is a great area to stay in Holland with a lovely selection of places to eat. The only negatives was that no free soap provided in the hotel I understand it is a budget hotel but surely free soap in the shower could be provided. also the bicycle hire is too expensive and put me off using this facility. 29 July 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible bed We were very disappointed in the bed. Luckily we only had to stay one night or my back would have suffered. We were also disappointed that the shuttle to Schipoll was not included. Some staff were friendly and some were robots. We had a very good experience at Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam Zuid, but not here. I should have also got a Welcome Drink because I have over 60K points as a Priority Member, but the staff said I had to wait a full year! 17 July 2013

The only downfall being that the local rail link between the airport and Amsterdam city center was closed for repairs. Traveling with such a large group presented us with a bit of an issue. However, the staff at the Holiday Inn Express - Schiphol were very helpful in finding us alternate means of reaching the city. Big thanks to Brandon at the front desk! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Layover Stayed at the hotel for one night on my way to work in Doha for 2 weeks, and truly had a nice experience. The staff went out of their way to assist me with any requests. They directed me on how to get to the small town - easy 12 minute walk away - where there are outdoor cafes and shops to enjoy. Plus there is a sidewalk the entire way. The shuttle was readily available, and timely in both directions. Breakfast offers both hot and cold items, and was well stocked. Would recommend this location to anyone needing a one night - or more - stay in a comfortable envionment. 08 July 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff, Clean & Modern, Restaurant Choices Few We chose this hotel on a flight layover in Amsterdam. Our flight arrived a bit late (approx. 9 pm), and upon arriving at the hotel discovered that there were very few restaurant choices in the area, and they all closed at 10pm. We had to rush to find a restaurant, which turned out to be excellent (a small bistro a few blocks away). They were in the process of closing but were gracious enough to allow us to order limited items from the menu. The hotel staff was friendly and extremely helpful as we had to be at the airport earlier than shuttle runs. They booked a taxi for us and even came to our door in the am to be sure that we were awake. The rooms are immaculate, modern, and comfortable. We would stay here again if restaurants were more available. The hotel appeared to be in a business and residential district which impacted the lack of eateries late in the evening. 06 July 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Above & Beyond We stayed at this location twice (at the beginning AND the end of our holiday), and both times the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were all very helpful. After a very short while they recognised us whenever we entered the hotel. As an example, on the last night we decided to have dinner delivered. They had a good array of menus available, and even phoned the restaurant so that we would have no difficulties with the language in placing our order. By that time we had depleted our Euros, so they put the amount on our hotel bill (probably against the rules) and, when the food arrived, supplied us with proper plates and cutlery. The hotel is quiet, located in the walking and bicycle friendly area of Hoofddorp. The staff is attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Parking is close by, though a bit on the pricey side if you are driving or have a rental car. The airport shuttle is convenient and runs on schedule. The hotel has a good selection of menus for local restaurants who will make deliveries that will have something for any traveler. The hotel staff placed my order, and followed up to insure delivery. There are several different types of restaurants nearby, with walking times of 10-25 minutes. The rooms are well kept, modern, and have comfortable beds and pillows. The rooms have sufficient outlets and good internet speeds for business and personal travelers. The lobby area has multiple gathering areas suitable for relaxing or holding small informal meetings. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service but small double bed The double bed in the room was comfortable but quite small for 2 adults which made sleeping difficult. I would advise twin beds for a good night sleep. Apart from that, the room and the bathroom were very nice. The breakfast was laid very early which was good since we left the hotel at 7am. 10 June 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended plase to stay It is good place for stay. I hade single room with king bed. It was clean and comfortable. Atmosphere very quite. Very helpful Receiprion staff. I have 1 aceptable minus. Room has centralised Automated climat control for +20C. I changed for comfortable for me 22-23. After some time it automaticaly changed in to 20C. Usually at nignt. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most pleased We arrived to find 3 very helpful staff pleasant, personable, and willing to help. It got better from there as we unlocked the door on our fourth floor room to find well designed and comfortable surroundings with plenty of amenities to ease our trip weariness such as an excellent shower, comfy beds and convenient outlets to power up our mobiles for the next days touring. And it still got better as we awoke the next day and headed down stairs for breakfast. The free breakfast was full of choice and well looked after and clean. Great coffee choices. The only bothersome part of our stay was the charge for a return trip to the airport, I think this is the first time that we have come across a charge such as this where to the hotel is no cost but there is a charge to get back to the airport. Other than that our stay for 4 days was simply great. We would highly recommend the Hoofddorp. This hotel was the third Express on our trip which included the Paris airport Roissy and the Dublin airport Northwood Park Santry Express. All of these have been above and beyond for our experience in comfort, cleanliness and friendly staff. 19 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, good service and clean The hotel is 5 minutes by bus to the Schiphol departure terminal, and 15-30 minutes by car to Keukenhof area. There are few restaurants near by such as McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza, and you can ask front desk attendant to order it for you. We were arrived before check in time, and I showed my priority card member, and the front desk attendant gave us a room available at the moment. Beside that, the hotel just as other standard HIEx hotel, which is clean, comfortable, with international standard service of HI. We stayed a night there and we were happy. 14 May 2013
