Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Why did I register if you won't let me have my room? I stay in a hotel once a week due to working very late teaching. I joined the 'Rewards' program, and after having two bad stays in 2 separate IHExpress hotels (this one being one of them), I thought I would give it another try. So, I took the time to book a room, only to arrive after a long drive at the hotel at 11:30pm and told that I don't have a room for my reservation because they 'overbooked'. If I wasn't so tired and very dissatisfied it would be funny. But it's not. Needless to say the weekly stays that I have throughout the year will not be spent in one of these places. I am also letting my employer know how useless this was. 18 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service, new hotel My recent stay at this hotel was for business. I found it was excellent for business travel. Due to late check in I ended up in an accessible room/ADA compliant across from the gym. The room was huge and well appointed with amenities that were height adjusted. The hotel is very clean and has a lovely lobby. As a new property, some of the landscaping is still filling in - but that is expected right after construction. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were attentive and asked open ended questions. The general manager interacted with guests. The pool area was small but enclosed so it was very safe and you didn't feel like you were on display. I would recommend rental car or Uber for getting around as cabs were hard to come by and unreliable. The gym included a treadmill, elliptical, cycle and free weights. I plan to stay here when returning for business in Houston and have already recommended it to a friend. 12 September 2014

Convenient to many places.Sits away from the highway No noise at nite for a peaceful sleep. when I return to Houston that is definitely where I will be staying. the hotel is different and very nice! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't do any better You may think I'm silly, but the first thing I noticed when I entered the hotel was how good it smelled. I was greeted by a friendly staff member as soon as I entered. He was so professional. Even said something about IHG points. Which I really appreciated. Even went as far as to ask if my husband and I needed a wake up call. Just something extra to make me feel special. As far as my room - all I can say is awww. House keeping is doing their job. So clean. The pillows were even marked letting you know if it was a hard pillow or a soft one. Like staying in a spa. Only suggestion, check the alarm on the clock. Mine went off around 5 in the morning. And being half asleep I could not figure out how to turn it off. Now - My silly husband could not figure out how to use the TV. The girl who answered the phone was very patient with him. And took less than 10 minutes to come to our room and show him how to work the remote control. Overall - we had a wonderful time. We both have stressful jobs .. He is in Crime Scene for the Sheriff's Office and I am an Animal Control Officer. The things we see, well you can imagine. So we like to get away on the weekends when we have off together. Leaving the drama behind. We have stayed in so many places. And I can honestly say, my stay here is tops. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT SERVICE, FROM RESERVATIONS TO COMPLETE STAY THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL! THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, HAD MORE THAN JUST CEREAL, FRESH FRUIT AND A BOILED EGG. THE BREAKFAST CONSISTED OF PANCAKES, BACON, SAUSAGE, EGGS, SAUSAGE GRAVY, BISCUITS AND TOAST OR BAGEL. HOT CINNAMON ROLLS, CHOCOLATE MILK, COFFEE, JUICES, ETC. THE PANCAKES WERE THE BEST. ROOM VERY CLEAN, THE HOTEL ITSELF WAS VERY CLEAN. VERY COMFORTABLE OVERALL! 05 September 2014
