Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saved by the Holiday Inn Memorial staff I was in Houston on a business trip that involved making a presentation to be consigned some rare material for my auction. The ladies at the desk were great. I got all my work done and copied but neglected to bring a stapler. I rushed down to the the desk, and one of the ladies (( I wish I knew her name) allowed me to borrow their stapler. I managed to get to the client's office on time with reports for the client. I feel that when I am in Houston on business, Holiday Inn at Memorial is my home away from home. One happy client says thanks to the ladies and everyone at Holiday Inn Memorial. 20 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Breakfast Staff This hotel is a good spot if you are passing through or if you want to be close enough to the Galleria without being directly in it. The beds and pillows weren't the best, but the room was clean. The breakfast staff was very friendly. With two kids, she took time to stop and chat and she seemed to know many of the customers in the room throughout the time we were in there. The front counter staff needs to not be chomping on gum while interacting with guests when checking them in or out. It was quite repulsive. 18 December 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No hot water I informed the services desk there was no hot water. The "manager on duty" stated he would send maintenance AFTER WE LEFT and there was nothing he could do. I was told there were no other complaints from other guests and it must have been something I had done. The staff seemed uninterested and not very informed. I often stay at hotels for work so I'm sure I will not send colleagues to this location. 14 December 2014

Was not recognized as a IHG Rewards Club Member at check in, even though I told them I was a member when I made advance reservations. Property smelled like cleaning solutions, not only in the lobby area, but also in our room. 12 December 2014
