I travel frequently around Asia and can always rely on the IHG Group whether it be the Holiday Inn Express or the Intercontinental Hotels to provide clean rooms, courteous service, well prepared meals and a safe environment to get a good nights sleep. Keep up the excellent work.

I was in Jakarta just for a meeting and as I knew the conditions of traffic jam in the city, I decided to come on the day before, spent the afternoon at the hotel working on my business presentation.
Internet was efficient, the environment calm and the night was of a very good sleepy. Forgot some of my toiletries but the staff just provided. Easy and simple breakfast in the morning and fast and efficient checkout.
For a short stay, cost effective, you do not need more than you get.

I booked a room for one night in Surabaya but the phone chose the Surabaya City Center Holiday Inn Express. I needed to catch a flight back to Jakarta in the morning so I needed to stay close to the airport. I followed the cancellation protocol but online it would not function many times. I called the Hotel before the deadline and cancelled my reservation. I contacted customer service for IHG and I got an argumentative person with a bad attitude and they said IHG has no responsibility for how the website works and that I would be billed even though I had been attempting on the website to cancel and called personally to the Hotel before the deadline. During my time in Asia I secured several contracts and will be traveling back and forth every couple of months. I am not sure if I will use IHG and its services anymore after this experience.
