Situated within a few meters of God's own stadium, this is a good Holiday Inn Express with a burger

Hotel is conveniently located, depending on reason for visit. For example, it is right next to the football ground, so avoid match days unless going to the game! Staff were friendly and helpful.

I stay at lots of Holiday Inn Express hotels around the country. I thought the reception staff were the best I have come across for some time.
Breakfast area could be a bit cleaner but it was busy.

We booked this hotel a few months ago for the Kasabian Summer Solstice gig. It was excellent value for money and overall the hotel is nice and modern.
The room was clean and well maintained with air con and nice comfortable beds. The shower was lovely, strong and powerful unlike most budget hotels and the water was consistently hot. The only gripe I had was that the flush on the toilet wasn't very good. If I went to the toilet and then my partner went just 5/10 minutes after he was unable to flush as the cistern took so long to refill. I also really liked the fact you were fully able to open the windows, most hotels nowadays you can only open the window a crack and I much prefer fresh air over dry air con air.
Breakfast in the morning was ok for what it was - there was only really sausages, beans and scrambled eggs on the hot side and then there were cereals and pastries (inedible as they were rock solid#. Coffee and Tea was nice though.
In the short time we were at breakfast the cleaners made up our room so we were chuffed with that.
The only big complaint I have which I am still completely shocked even happened. Whilst we were at the gig one of our friends who wasn't even staying at the hotel lost us so made his way back to our hotel...he didn't know our room number so asked at reception. He then asked them for a key to our room and was given one. We were not aware of this and arrived back at the hotel at about 2am, attempted to access our room but our key had been wiped because a new one had been issued. We went to reception were given a new key and then when we arrived in our room there was #what we thought was a random# guy sleeping in our bed. I complained at reception straight away and wasn't even offered an apology. In the morning when I checked out I mentioned it again and I was offered a half hearted apology with the normal line of "i'll pass that on to management". I was genuinely annoyed that #even though it was our friend) someone had been asleep in our bed. Made our bed effectively dirty and which we then had to sleep in. I felt I should have been offered some kind of compensation but nothing was offered. All that I kept on thinking was what if someone had just heard my name and room number mentioned in reception asked for a key and then went in and stole some valuables but it seems the hotel staff couldn't see why I was so upset about the situation.
Anyway overall...I would stay again!!

A great location for those visiting both the football and rugby stadiums at Leicester. Its a 15/20 minute walk to city centre. Hotel provides VFM and has the benefit of on site parking. Have stayed a number of times and found the facilities fine last visit hopefully a one off, hot night and air con not working.
