Stayed for one night after a Tigers game. A bit noisy when some people came back from the clubs a 4am, thanks for knocking the door!
Hotel is fine for a short stay, a little bit away from the city centre but ideal if you are going to the football or rugby grounds.

A good location and like most Holiday Inn Expresses you know what you are getting and that includes value for money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jimmy90 Great for what I needed it for
Staff were very friendly and happy. Room was clean and modern and everything worked and very comfortable. I do like a proper fry up when away on business and was disappointed that there was only sausage and scrambled egg, wouldn't have minded a bit of bacon to go on top. However considering it was complimentary I enjoyed it and the hotel in general was clean tidy and very nice place to be!

We enjoyed a night out in Leicester and stayed at this hotel, convenient to find on way into Leicester avoiding the central one way system, breakfast included in price. Leicester football and Rugby grounds next door to hotel, pleasant and helpful staff

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Philip_SE1 Tired but OK
After a night at the fabulous Holiday Inn Express in Northampton, Leicester's by comparison seemed decidedly tired. The large room seemed characterless and the carpet was stained. Just a bit on need of a makeover. That said, everything worked and was perfectly acceptable. It was a good breakfast! As far as location is concerned, I suppose it's a question of whether you like overlooking a fooltball stadium. I'd spotted that it was a home match, and was pleased I'd phoned ahead to check access to the hotel. I was told that all roads would be closed from 2 pm but that I would be welcome to arrive ahead of time from 12 noon. I did that, and there were no problems. After the match it became a deserted and soulless area, but I walked to the top of the road and found a decent entertainment complex with a very reasonable priced steak house.
