Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Short but Sweet We stopped here halfway through a 12 hour drive home. We finally got there around 1:00am. The front desk clerk was awake and energetic, it was refreshing after being trapped in a car with 3 kids for hours. The room was so clean and comfortable, we went right to sleep. We didn't get to eat because we left at about 6:00am. 16 February 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by uncomfortable sleeper bed and poor service I have been traveling for years 25 plus years and have always stayed in nice hotels. This Holiday Inn is the worst stay for me. Guest service personnel was not friendly their attitudes was like what ever. I was disappointed with the size of the meeting room. I only wanted to use it for two hours and was told that I could do that but had to pay the price for using it for four hours. There was no bottle water in the room. Overall it just was not a good stay. very unpleasing. 06 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 "Great Hospitality" The staff at the Holiday Inn Express Lithonia assured my safety by helping with directions and town-specific information in Atlanta. During a drenching rain storm and cold weather, the Manager Shobha D provided and umbrella as i did not have one at that time. It made me feel like a little girl who left her umbrella at home, feel like it was one less thing to worry about. The staff at this hotel is amazing!!!! Rooms VERY CLEAN, Breakfast lady was wonderful and helpful. Thank you for making my stay pleasant. 22 January 2014

I work recommend to anyone who is looking for a clean, economical hotel and the bonus is a free breakfast! :) The rooms were incredibly spacious. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst night in a motel, ever As a Gold level Priority Club Member, I try to stay at IHG hotels regularly. In this case I drove from NC to Norcross, GA and arrived during record cold spells in Georgia. As I rode the elevator to my floor I noticed a sheet of paper taped to the wall of the elevator stating "We're making improvements to improve your experience...." or sentiments along those lines, signed by the GM. I used the fitness room @ 5:00 PM prior to dinner and it was in the 40 degree range. Pretty cold when starting out but after 15 minutes running I warmed up and it was tolerable. The fitness equipment seemed in pretty good shape. Treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and one of those old Nautilus style weight systems. After I went to bed @ 11:00 the noise started a while after I'd dropped off to sleep. The heating unit started to vibrate and THUMP loudly like an old refrigerator compressor in its death throes. Shutting the heat off briefly seemed to resolve the problem, at least for a while but the compressor noise returned. I shut the heat off completely at about 3:00 AM but, it was 23 degrees outside and it wasn't long before the room was about 50 degrees. You could feel the waves of cold air pulsing through the wall. Apparently, this hotel is much better suited to warmer temperatures. There were no extra blankets in the room so the heater came back on and about 45 minutes later the heater was making enough noise to wake the dead. This continued intermittently throughout the night. To add to the discomfort, when my alarm went off I attempted to take a shower to warm up, but there was insufficient water pressure to even engage the shower lever. Water coming out of the sink faucet began with a burst of air, followed by rusty water. I arrived to 'breakfast" @ 8:00 AM rather than 6:30. No fruit, the dregs of powdered eggs, a couple of biscuits and PLENTY of gravy but little else that might offer healthy choices. Not that I was of the "sweetness and light" mindset after a sleep disturbed night. I was however, polite to the desk clerk as I notified her of the problems I experienced the night before and she made note of this for her manager with a complete lack of concern. Needless to say, I won't return to this hotel. 13 January 2014

I only stay @ HIE because they are the only place I can trust to be clean, comfortable and safe. The breakfasts are pretty good too. 04 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by “Can workers really be that happy?” I've stayed in many holiday inns located around the world, but what I'd say most about this one was that the workers seemed at ease with one another and most pleasant in their work. I use this chain mostly because I get a discount through an ex. I selected this hotel in metropolitan Atlanta because I didn't want to pay for parking. I didn't make use of any amenities. But, it was a pleasant two day stay. 06 September 2013
