the hotel was in a very location for getting into the city, the staff could not have been more helpful. I will always stay here. rooms where a bit warm for me but I like the room to be cool. for the ladies the room needs a good make up light outside the bathroom.

Only one problem:-
Parking is not on site.
4/5 min walk back to the hotel.
Very bad evening re weather ( rain and very strong wind )
Very wet by the time I got back into the hotel.
Otherwise, excellent hotel with a great location.

Good basic hotel for short stay. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. One thing hotel does well is provide good quality towels. Bath sheets not towels that barely fit round you! :-)

Location was good. Lack of free parking which normally in holiday express. Outside windows were not cleaned so couldnot get clear view outside. Its very old building and on dock so some bits like this is expected. Else it was good location.

A good choice if you require breakfast in a comfortable Hotel with water views. Not too far from Museums, shops, local bus station etc. Plenty of classy restaurants on your doorstep, although better value ones can be found ten or fifteen minutes away.
Only real negative is the car parking. It's a bit of a drive to the multi storey car park at the Exhibition Centre and a good five minute walk back (in the rain !). Even with the hotel discount it is still £12 a day, so factor this into the overall cost of your stay.

We stayed here recently as a party of 3 adults. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lounge/bar areas were comfortable and service was good. The rooms were lovely with the original albert dock brick incorporated into the ceilings and walls. The bathroom was a little dated but was fine. Although the breakfast in the morning was lovely the selection of cooked items was minimal - scrambled eggs and sausage. The quality was good but a few more options would have just been nice. This is very picky because we did have a great time and would definetly stay here again.

Working in Liverpool and stopped at this holiday inn for the first time, Staff very good and have been very helpful during my stay, excellent value and close to Liverpool city centre, car parking very expensive and had a little problem with the noise during to being an old building.
Would stop in this hotel again but would look to park in another area.
worth a visit and excellent value for money
