very clean, friendly staff, wifi, and easy access for the disabled, staff willing to help anytime, I will be staying here again most definately good value for money, hotel and parking.

We were going over to the Isle of Man the next morning and we needed somewhere to spend the night. The Holiday Inn Express turned out to be great. It was quiet, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and there was a choice of pillows (hard or soft). We were a bit worried about the planes being loud but it was fine.
We only needed about 30 minutes to get to the docks the next morning for the ferry. The car park was full when we arrived but one of the "lads" at reception told us that he would move his car and we could park there - brilliant.

The hotel car park has been turned into a long stay car park for those flying out of John Lennon Airport. This has got completely out of hand, meaning no parking for regular hotel guests. Instead of finding alternative long term parking, and realising that it has seriously messed up, the hotel has carried on regardless. There are cars double parked, on grass verges, in the few disabled spaces and now outside the hotel on double yellow lines, waiting to be clamped or towed away. We are checking out two nights early, as the situation is intolerable, and getting still worse. There has been a deathly silence from hotel management. Do not stay here if you have a car. The attached photo taken after 09.00, when car park is normally over half empty.
