This was the second time I have stayed in a month and although I had a minor problem with the sound on the TV on the first visit the overall stay was good so I made another reservation this time for three nights with my wife. We booked in and went to our room and we found that the problem I had reported three weeks before with the sound on the TV was still apparent it was impossible to use BBC 2 as the sound was so distorted . They agreed to move us to a different room the following morning. We moved rooms and found that the problem was just the same with the TV in every room and the maintenance man told me they had a problem with the system and could not resolve it. On the Saturday afternoon we had a lot of problems with noise as a group of teenagers were on our floor running up and down banging and kicking doors which we thought may pose a problem later that evening so reported it to reception and they agreed to speak to them. We returned later that night went to bed and then and the noise started outside in the corridor and this went on and on. We spoke to reception and they sent staff up but the noise continued until 2.00 AM . We spoke to the reception when we checked out and they were most apologetic told us it was a group visit and they would cancel all future booking with them. As I have said the staff were polite and tried to control the situation but this is not what you expect at a Holiday Inn. 25 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room The room was good but I had a problem with the TV on BBC2 the sound was terrible and had an echo which made it impossible to hear. Spoke to the reception and they promised to get it looked at the next morning as I was only staying one night I took the matter no further. Staff are very polite and eager to please. 25 July 2014
