Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unsufficient room for three guests plus luggage, but great experience anyway to recommend! Great courtesy and effectiveness of the staff at the lobby. I would suggest to improve the variety of breakfast choices . Our room space for three guests has been just acceptable. Close to Hammersmith Underground Station (8 minutes on foot). I would anyway recommend this hotel to my friends. 30 August 2013

The bedrooms were fabulous,along with a lovely comfortable bed and pillows.breakfast was good and plentiful,and set us up nicely for a busy day. We will definitely return to this hotel whenever we visit London... 25 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, very helpful We stayed at the Hammersmith Holiday Inn Express for 3 nights whilst attending a family wedding in the area. The hotel was very clean with great staff who were attentive, friendly and very courteous. The only slight negative was the small breakfast buffet - continental breakfast or sausage/beans/scrambled eggs... We had a nice room on the 4th floor which was quiet enough considering the proximity to the Tube and the main street. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends when the opportunity arises. 22 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Friendly and helpful staff We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast service layout we thought could be arranged in a more efficient way so that people were not bumping into each other. Also the food ran out on Friday - e.g there were no croissants, the yoghurt and fruit dishes were empty and there were no plates and trays. The kitchen staff appeared to be under pressure (shortstaffed, perhaps.) The previous day, Thursday, everything was excellent. One other small point - my nightdress went missing! I reported it and the housekeeper checked the room but could not find it so I suspect it must have been inadvertently put out with the towels or sheets! However, it was not a great disaster and I certainly would not make an issue of it. 14 August 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by An unpleasant surprise On arrival at the hotel we were initially very pleased with the reception and with our room. On the second night however,on returning to our room we found a mouse running out from under the bed and then out under the door and presumably then into another room. When we moved the beds to see if there were more rodents, we were horrified to find a mousetrap under each bed, which obviously indicated that we had been put into a room with an ongoing pest problem.Why had this room not been put out of service until this problem was irradicated? We do not consider it acceptable to be put into a room with such a problem. Our concerns were handled very well by the duty manager who was very apologetic and gave us a new room on a different floor (plus a bottle of wine), but he also promised that we would be contacted by his manager on our return home. Unfortunately there has been no such communication,which is very disappointing. 29 July 2013

I have bad shoulders and normal soft and firm pillows don't help support them. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, its local for one of our work offices and reasonably priced. 28 July 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room but breakfast inadequate and most staff not friendly. The room was compact but clean. Our air conditioning was not working and we requested it to be fixed. The receptionist ensured that it would be fixed, unfortunately it wasn't and after a sleepless night we were moved to a different room for which we received no help in transferring our belongings . The breakfast was adequate for the price of our stay; however, the staff were extremely unpleasant and made us all feel very uncomfortable. We were told that breakfast was served up until 9:30am at 9:25am staff came around to say that the breakfast area was closing and at 9:30 precisely they turned off all the drinks machines, toasters and cleared all food from display. Some costumers went up to try and get coffee and toast but they were ignored by staff in their unsuccessful attempt to get fed. This hotel has great potential and some of the staff were very approachable, however too many including the duty manager were unhelpful, rude and never even tried to smile at anyone. 25 July 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for price except for lack of working air conditioner Our family was on holiday in London for 8 days. We booked our room at the Holiday Inn - Hammersmith after we had already been in London for 4 days. Although a little further away from the main sites to see, the value for the price was very good. Our only problem was that our room did not have a working air conditioner. When we arrived in the room, the air conditioner was on and blowing HOT air. The temperature in the room was over 90 degrees (Farenheit). It did happen to be one of the hottest days of the year in London, but one should expect to have a working air conditioner that could at least bring the temperature down to 75 degrees (Farenheit). The staff could not disagree that our room felt like an oven and, since it was a weekend, they did not have maintenance staff available to fix the air conditioner. The staff did everything they could to help make our room more comfortable, including unlocking the windows so we could open them all the way (there were child safety locks on the windows). The staff even searched the entire hotel to locate a fan for us, which they found in the laundry room and brought right to us. The air conditioning seemed to work very well elsewhere in the hotel, especially in the lobby and lounge. The service in the restaurant and bar connected to the hotel was excellent. The food and drinks were excellent as well and there was a great variety which helped when traveling with children. Despite the air conditioning problem, which seemed to be a very unusual event, I strongly recommend this hotel since the value for the price is very high. 20 July 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice location and great service We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights with my family (husband + 2 kids) . The location is just 5 minutes walk from Tube and plenty of grocery stores and restaurants on the way . We reached hotel at 8AM and even though the checkin time was 2 PM , they were able to give us room after 8:30 . The hotel can also store luggage which came in handy because we went to Paris for few days and left most of big luggage at hotel. The beds were very comfortable , however the room size was bit small . The breakfast was adequate but can get boring after few days . Overall , we had a nice experience and wouldn't hesitate to come back again to this hotel. 17 July 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by one of the best hotels Whenever I am on holiday I always chose to stay in Holiday Inn because of the cleanliness and comfort they provide their guest and again this Holiday Inn Hammersmith has met my expectation. One great advantage is the very nice location unlike the other Holiday Inn hotels. My daughter's first holiday inn experience and I think she enjoyed the breakfast too much. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Well appointed rooms We have stayed in this hotel several times and it has always delivered on value and cleanliness. The staff are helpful and efficient not only on reception but in the dining room and accommodation as well. The hotel is well maintained and has not lost its newish sparkle. My only concern would be that the breakfast bar seemed unable to cope with the numbers requiring breakfast and on our first day they ran out of scrambled eggs and on the second day there was no toast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel Highly recommend this hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was good - not a huge amount of choices but was nice and hot. One very minor comment was that there was not enough tea/coffee/milk sachets in the room. Rectified by a visit to reception where we were given extra. Overall was great. Thank you to all of the staff. 05 July 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What A Relief! After reserving an apartment for a week's stay in London, and finding it to be uncomfortable and dirty, we sought other accommodations for the rest of our trip. We were pleasantly surprised by this Holiday Inn Express! It essentially saved our London vacation! The room was comfortable and quiet (despite being right off of busy and noisy King Street#, the staff all were hospitable and accommodating, the daily breakfast was satisfying, and the easy accessibility to Hammersmith shops and the tube #to London and Heathrow) was quite convenient! The room was clean, and well made up each day. It was a pleasant place to return to after each of our daily excursions. The cost was reasonable by London area standards. I highly recommend this Hotel to any London visitors! 09 June 2013

Spotlessly clean, staff very accommodating and nice to have a central area for parties to gather within the hotel to have a drink without having to go out. My only criticism would be that the food area is slightly small for busy periods, no bacon available and food could have been hotter. 04 June 2013
