Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed use for the Excel conference center Not a friendly area and difficult to navigate to. rooms were clean and tidy but the reception is not very comfortable or welcoming, though the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant and no food available apart from a minimal breakfast with dry scrambled eggs, sausage and beans the only hot options available. The dining area is not very friendly or welcoming and the relaxing area for a quiet drink is pretty poor. The room was clean and respectable but i still don't understand the use of a duel door in the bathroom. The air-conditioning/heater is difficult to control and when I used the hotel iron and board to iron a shirt it was the cheapest iron you could have bought and perform as such. Quite disappointed as holiday inn are usually a better standard especially in the London region. 26 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay On business for one night found the hotel to be pleasant and welcoming. It wasn't too full so parking was fine and there was no rush at the breakfast area. Some holiday Inn express are too congested at breakfast time 23 January 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Hotel As a gold member of the holiday inn priority club for the last 10 years, and having stayed at holiday inn and holiday inn express throughout the country, this has been the worst hotel in the group. The room was okay bar the heating not working sufficiently. on booking there was no mention of no lunch or dinner available if required and the breakfast overall was poor. As for trying to get details of restaurants within easy walk, were none existent. On using the lift, a member of staff was using the mirror to squeeze a spot on her face - not very nice. After this experience, I would expect a refund. 22 January 2015
