We knew it was a new hotel and there may be some teething problems and we were not disappointed. Breakfast was a bit cold. The cleaners were eager to get into the room (they knocked on the door before 9am). There was a bit of confusion over the room rate. Not big things, but just a bit of an irritation. Plus points include a good room, free wifi and computers, and friendly staff. 09 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in We stay away for business and leisure across all brands and standards of hotel, we chose the Holiday inn Express Southwark on this occasion due to its location. It is the best Express we have stayed in, and service wise, couldn't fault it. From the help with our room requests/ reservation (thank you Jennifer and Elena), and throughout our stay, service was friendly and efficient. Housekeeping throughout was excellent; and the breakfast definitely the best we have had in an Express (often can be a bit hit and miss but not here); quality and choice for an Express was extremely good. Having managed in hotels for almost 20years, I know how much hard work goes into a providing a clean, well run hotel, offering excellent service.... Well Done to all the team, great job!! 08 October 2014
