Unfortunately not so the HEI Victoria London where I experienced a poor guest room, below standard breakfast facilities at a expensive rate. On this occasion definitely not value for money and not recommended as a place to stay 18 March 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very expensive for a smelly/noisy room. I had a room under the bar. It was noisy until past midnight which made disrupted my sleep. The room I had was old/worn, but clean and well serviced by the housekeepers. However it was cramp, smelled damp and after showers in the hotel had been used there was a small of waste water (very strong). The breakfast offered is simple, which is OK. But the coffee and sausages are very low grade. This is not in keeping with the price of the stay. The staff were pleasant and the general areas were in good order. I'm unlikely to return, but if I do I would not have any of the basement or lower ground floor rooms. Also, I'd pop around the corner to a great local cafe for breakfast. 16 March 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by clean and convenient It took my son over 1 hour to check in at 11pm. the receptionist made him contact me at 10.30 PM. to verify that they had a room booked and insisted on payment for a second time. Was it a pleasant stay? Sleep quality? Staff (receptionist)? after that! I would score -5* I would say avoid until the manager can sort things out or unless you have cash in your hand to prove that you are not a homeless person. (That aparently are always trying to check in), and have plenty of time and patience to check in. 13 March 2015

The rooms were a little tired and common areas very small. The single lift was slow. Typical of a house conversion rather than a purpose built hotel! 11 March 2015
