The room was great except for the temperature in the room was hot: even for the cold natured person. The problem: one of our group was very hot natured and one was cold natured.
Voted no to turn on the air conditioner and leave the heat off for a time and turn on the heat during the night. Then we left the heat off for the whole night but was still too warm.

I have used HI EXPRESS before and find that most desk people are not knowledgeable about local eateries. With most of the guests being travelers I think it should be a high priority for desk personnel have that knowledge when asked by arriving guests.
Also the directions to this location has a more convenient and direct exit number which should have been in the map instructions provided, exit 3 instead of 5.

This is the first time that I have had problems with this hotel in the last five years. There were two controls to the tv and we could not figure out how to get them to work. I had to go down to the front desk and they were able to explain which one worked the tv and the other worked changing the channels.
Our other problem was the handle on the toilet as it was broken and when you tried to flush it the handle fell off in you hand and you had to take it an shove it back in and then it would work.
Other than this was our only problems on this visit.

We stayed here two times on the way to Florida and returning home. Both stays were very good regarding the rooms we had. However, the breakfast was very good on our first stay. Breakfast items were replenished as needed. But not so for our return trip. I saw only one person staffing the breakfast area and there were no signature cinamon rolls to be had the entire 40 minutes that we were eating. Counters were wiped down as needed, but all foods were not replenished which was about 9:15 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. People dropped by and walked away, assumed they went out to eat elsewhere.

Most rooms weren't ready when guests showed up and it seems the lady at the desk didn't know what she was doing. She had to call her manager on the phone several times for most guests. Elevator was broken. Most guests before me was told their rooms are not clean yet and I had to wait an hour for my room to be cleaned. But after the bad customer service everything was smooth. We enjoyed our stay.

The beds, pillows, sheets and accessories are so wonderful. Got a great night's sleep/ Very nice stay at this hotel. Staff very friendly.
