I was just about to enter my meeting when I realized my wedding ring was not on my finger! What to do- head back to the hotel and miss my meeting or attend the meeting and maybe find my ring somewhere at the hotel later that day. I had already checked out. I called Holiday Inn Express San Diego South and talked to Laura on the phone. I told her about my dilemma. She took my name and phone number and told me she would check the room I was in and call me right back. She called me 5 minutes later saying she found my ring and would hold it for me until I picked it up. Wow, that was a close call! 30 March 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Double Charged for stay in not so great area! This hotel is completely average. It is a bit old, a bit dirty and in a seedy part of town. It is cheap and near the highway. My biggest issue wasn't the age and neglect of the hotel, but the fact they double charge my stay and either did not care to fix it or did not understand my complaint. The staff member I spoke to told me that this was a normal charge! For the last 10 years I have been traveling on average, 150 nights a year. I assured her this was not normal, nor was it a confirmation charge on my card to reserve the room/deposit on the room. It was an duplicate charge 3 days after the first charge, for the exact amount of my room!!! Unfortunately this has now happened twice to me with Holiday Inn Express, in the San Diego area. I can only recommend staying in a nicer area at another hotel. Holiday Inn Express in San Diego is just too much trouble. 27 February 2015
