There is no sound barrier between the floors. You hear absolutely everything at all hours of the day and night above you. When I tried to speak to staff at checkout she proceeded to answer the phone and start taking a reservation knowing that I had just told her I needed to speak to her. I left as she was on the phone for a while checking dates.

Traveling from Dayton, Oh to Amherst, NY. Great Hotel, was a returning visit to this Hotel. Made my long drive much easier with an overnight stay here. Highly recommend this Holiday Inn. Only downside is it is on a hill and parking is on a slant. As I am nearly 71, it is a little difficult, but not difficult enough to choose another hotel!

Stayed here last week for two nights: and I found the place really wonderful. I'm a student at Jamestown Community College, and I needed a quiet room to study, and prepare myself for the final exams. I was not really sure if it would be a good idea to find a quiet spot on a first weekend of May, when the hotel was packed with all kind of travelers, families with kids, and a group of people staying there for a wedding or family reunion (I am not sure, but I've seen a crowd at the front desk during a check-in time). I was not planning to stay there for 2 nights, but I did! I was really nicely surprised how quiet was there all weekend when the hotel was sold out last night! I've seen a lot of cars there, but I would never guess that over hundred people stayed there the first night. I stayed at many hotels in my life, and very often at the situation when the hotel is sold out I may I had to deal with all kind of problems.
So... I can assure everyone: Not at this hotel! There were awesome: I decided to stay for one more night to enjoy such a great hospitality, get my all homework done and take two exams online.
The wireless internet worked better than in my house which was very important to me at that time of staying at the hotel. Beside the internet, the second most important was a good coffee. And again I feel like this place with their coffee is better than home! The hotel also has a swimming pools indoors and a hot tub. There was a small work out room, and a business center to use 24 hrs. A day
The room 418 I was given was on the 4th floor and has got to be one of the largest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in with lovely view on Lake Erie, which is about 3-4 miles on the other side of the North East town.
A spacious room and bathroom were great (I LOVED the bathroom fixtures), and everything was clean and spotless. The bed linens were an absolute delight. My room was very clean and a lot bigger than I expected.
Closed closet, refrigerator, microwave, good-sized tub, Fancy folded towels. I really liked it.
The bed was so comfortable and the best pillows ever. And they even gave you your choice of soft or firm pillows!!! The towels were nice and plush - something I always notice about hotels. . Pure comfort.
Super clean, lovely amenities, nice energy, quiet, the room was large and comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out the luggage and put clothes away
The best part of my stay was the quiet, spotless room, staff, the swimming pool, and complimentary breakfast. If I had to describe Holiday Inn Express in North East in one word I would say "Home".
THE STAFF of this hotel was too good to be true. They were very friendly. Front desk service was excellent with good recommendations, useful information and check-in and check-out were flawless. Greeted me whenever I entered the building, provided great service. The housekeepers went way out of their way to have everything done on time, they were very professional and courteous, and treated me like family and as I left, I knew that I had gained other family members. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and know that you are in good hands with the staff, and everything that they have to offer they too will treat you like family, they are very caring.
FREE hot breakfast was just amazing. I have never seen a free hotel breakfast like this one. Wow!
Besides the normal muffins, bagels, dry cereal and fruit they had hot scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and fresh pancakes, Greek yogurts, delicious hot cinnamon rolls: the food is high quality:
I am a tea drinker, and again I was nicely surprised: beside the regular sugar and sweetener, they had a brown raw sugar, lemon juice and honey: Wow!!! Service was excellent. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are numerous places to eat within a short 2 miles driving distance to the downtown... Hotel parking is limited due the construction (they are working on a new wing building so I recommend using next door restaurant whenever possible.
What a great place to stay.
