Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Karstein Clean and comfortable, quiet
Coming by rented car near midnight the hotel was not easy to find. The stadium is called both the Kassam and the Oxford on road signs.
The hotel itself was an agreeable experience. Clean, comfortable, quiet and fresh!

This hotel offers a close access to downtown Oxford, either by driving yourself or walking 1/2 mile to the bus stop. We chose this hotel because of its location to many other scenic places around the Cotswolds, and we were pleased with our decision. There are restaurants and a movie theater very close to the hotel, but there is little else so the country feel of the hotel's atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were pleasant and the free breakfast each morning was a nice touch. We had a family room for three and it was good sized, comfortable, and quiet. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff did a great job.

I enjoyed my stay but unfortunately the weather was hot and we were unable to get a good nights sleep as the room had no air conditioning which was unfortunate

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flash Heart Great hotel but poor staff
Enjoyed our stay as very little traffic noise and good parking. Breakfast great and clean. However front reception staff never smiled and never offered to help when we had a problem or query. Won't go there again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotelier56910 Large Building, Great Staff, Basic Room
We have used this hotel before so knew exactly what to expect, It is a reasonable price and staff are excellent. The room we had this time was very basic, no air-conditioning, a low bed with a very cheap mattress. Last time we must have stayed in an upgraded room so for the extra I would recommend it.
Don't get me wrong though, the room was modern and very clean and together with everything you need. Breakfast is a free for all with cheap, not good quality food, which is a shame.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Capital boy Decent value but local food options not so good
The hotel itself was good for the price range. Clean, friendly staff, decent breakfast.
But the site quite a long way from Oxford city centre.
And the food available in the nearby mall was poor in my opinion.

I enjoyed my stay and the free breakfast. However, from the reception it was not obvious where the staircase was in case of fire. There is a clear warning not to use the lift in case of fire, but I could see no sign to stairs.
The hotel exterior is very drab. The hotel is not signposted from the main road and is not visible until close by, so my satnav took me all round the leisure complex next door.

Modern, bright and clean. Easy access by road with free parking.
Only disappointment is that the hotel does not cater for evening meals. There are restaurants up at the leisure park (a short walk away) which is fine in good weather but I'm not sure I'd stay here in winter

The staff was very helpful and did not hesitate to assist our group with any issues we had. The rooms do not have refridgerators in them, but the staff was willing to store cold items in the fridge behind the desk. Every recommendation we received from the staff was spot on for what we needed. 10/10, would stay again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mikl Great Service and bed OK
The hotel staff was spot on with everything. From the ladies cleaning the rooms wight up to the manager of the hotel, everyone was professional, courteous and very helpful. The internet was not good at all. It was slow and seemed like it shut down often. Made it very difficult to communicate with people back in the states. The bed was somewhat hard. It could have been better. The shower head was clogged with calcium. So it sprayed in every direction. The room was very clean and cozy. If I ever stay in Oxford again, I will stay there.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mungotree Not bad service a breakfast not to remember
Staff where attentive and helpful although 3 days later I ams still waiting for the deposit amount to be cancelled from my card.
The breakfast, while offering a wide variety, lacked in any sort of quality.
You could certainly tell that breakfast was about giving a meal at the lowest margin possible. In particular the eggs tasted like the reconstituted powered variety commonly found on low budget airlines and the sausages, if you can call them that, lacked any park quality to them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OxonJohn Kassam Holiday Inn Very Good
Very comfortable night - great room, helpful check in staff.
Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight with a coach load of tourists causing a scrum around the fairly narrow buffet point - but breakfast is free, so not a real issue. Quality of sausage, though, is poor.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RD12345 Great breakfast shame about the bed
We had a good stay the only spoiler to our visit was an old springy mattress. It spoiled an otherwise good stay and the bed is not up to the standard I would expect from this group.

Stopped at this hotel recently to be able to go to a nearby family party, check in should have been 3pm as it was a sunday, but we were able to check in early 1130am, the staff were all very helpful in this matter.as usual the hotel rooms lobby etc were very clean and comfortable. And a great free breakfast and also benefits with free wifi

We went down to oxford for the day and decided to stay the night, we went to the holiday inn at pear tree but they had no rooms , but one member of staff helped us out by ringing the holidayinn express at kassam stadium and they had one room left, which we took , bareing in mind this was about midday, , we did ask for a certain type of room which we allways ask for in a hotel and it was no problem they met our request,. top marks for that .had a great night there and a great brekki to. A big thank you to the chap at holidayinn at pear tree too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by owen777 comfortable rooms and beds no problem in sleeping
I have spent the last 4 months staying at the Kassam, and the staff have been very help full, the rooms have been clean and comfortable, but during the winter months the windows were very drafty and the rooms cold when you arrived back in the evening so extra quilts would have been a help.
very pleased with the choice of breakfast food.
Booking in and out was very good

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Location
The remoteness of the site gives an edgy feel outside, and certainly not recommend lone females to walk to the food options on other side of football stadium.should be catering in house. Takeaway not favourite without seeing where it's from. Decor and style is old and needs updating. Safety of car park not enhanced by nearby police blue light activity. In poor weather walking to food options would be very wet, so car needed.

We visit Oxford fairly often & always stay at the Kassam Stadium. It is easy to find, has plenty of parking, & is not that far from Oxford centre. Everything is clean & we always get a good nights sleep (allowing for the odd noisy guest). Breakfast comes with the price & whilst they don't do a full English there is a very good choice which should suit everyone.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lizzy_lu123 Ok for a Stop Over
Visited here again whilst on business, the rooms are clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bar is good for a drink. I found the buffet breakfast to be popular as I had to wait a while for it to be replenished. The wifi is ok, but very patchy and keeps disconnecting which can be very annoying.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Britinpoland Great value
As always - outside London great value. Super bed, pillows, shower. Tea making in room. Friendly staff. Great value for money. The usual downside of course - plastic sausages and powdered scrambled eggs. Yes, it is complementary and there is always cereal, toast etc, but if you are going to offer a hot choice make it vaguely edible. I Love HI Expresses, but do bacon and boiled eggs instead.....

Another excellent stay at the Holiday In Express Kassam Stadium Oxford. Staff always on the ball and any requests/problems are delt with in a fast and professional manner. Even an extra key given to enable the room to stay warm in the cold weather.

Ideal spot for our overnight stay and visit to the Kassam stadium. We would have preferred a king-size bed as we're not double bed-sized people, but we were told no rooms have king-size beds at this hotel. Perhaps one for future planning? Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and healthy options.

I stayed in Holiday Inn Express Taunton a couple weeks ago and my expectation was quite high. This branch was a little older but everything was clean and ok as a overall experience. However in comparison to the other branches i have stayed before, this branch left me with less satisfaction.
(I really hope that the size of the breakfast bar will be updated soon! I really struggled to walk around due to the small space.)
