Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Another property diluting HI Express Brand This property is another example of a property that is diluting the Brand by being substandard. Mismatched, torn carpeting in the hall? Steps leading from elevator to room? No ramp at main entrance to hotel? Unable to get contact details for General Manager when a problem exists? Being embarrassed when checking in with my wife and they "honor" your gold level (my wife also is a gold level member) by giving you 1 drink coupon! I guess they expected us to share it? Having soap dispensers in the bathroom and then not refilling them so it runs out in middle of your shower? Breakfast staff was very good, quickly cleaning tables and refreshing items. Bacon was swimming in oil and grease, took several napkins to dry it off? Dated and poorly laid out room? Instead of mounting that flat screen on the wall take up precious counter space instead? No window screens? No air conditioning? Hotel next to busy rail lines!!! April 25, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Huge comfortable bed and great service We arrived at the hotel and where warmly greeted by the reception staff who provided us with a map of Rome and told where the metro station was and also that a bus stop was right outside the hotel. The metro was a short walk from the hotel about 9 mins if that and the bus went straight to the Colosseum. Our room was very big and the double bed big enough for a family of four to sleep in. The room was exceptionally clean. There was no tea and coffee facilities but a quick visit to reception and a tray was delivered with a kettle, cups and tea and coffee arrived quickly and was replenished for the duration of our stay. The only disappointment was I could only find one plug in the room to use to charge our phones and sons iPod and when there are three of you waiting there was not always time to fully charge our items. There was a good range of items for breakfast everyday and the staff where very attentive and quick to clear your empty plates when you had finished so your table didn't become cluttered. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Günstiges Hotel nähe Bahnhof Das Hotel liegt nicht weit weg vom Bahnhof Tuscolana und U Bahnhof Punte Lungo. Damit erreicht man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Rom sehr leicht. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption war freundlich. Ein Cash Upgrade wurde uns angeboten, das wir auch angenommen haben. Als Elite Mitglieder von Rewards Club genießt man dort keinerlei Vorteile. Das ist sehr schade. Unser Executive Room verfügt im Vergleich zum Standard Room über eine Espressokapselmaschine, Bademäntel, einen Mini-Kühlschrank und einen Balkon zum Innenhof. Das Geruch im Zimmer war leider sehr unangenehm als wir reinkamen. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert auch nicht richtig. Es war einfach viel zu warm im Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist oberflächlich sauber. Wenn man genau hinschaut, ist es ziemlich schmutzig. Vor allem die Kaffeemaschine und der Kühlschrank. In der Kaffeemaschine sieht man noch den feuchten Kaffeesatz, der noch dort hängt. In den Zwischenräumen der Gummibände von der Kühlschranktür war extrem viel Dreck. Der Kühlschrank ist einfach eine Wärmebox. Wir haben eine Flasche Wasser reingelegt. Ein paar Stunden später ist das Wasser noch wärmer geworden als zuvor. Für diese zwei Extras habe ich noch extra drauf bezahlt. Das einzige gute im Zimmer war das Bett. Es war sehr angenehm, nicht weich auch nicht hart. Wir konnten sehr gut schlafen. Das Frühstück ist im Vergleich zu manchen HIExpress sehr reichhaltig. Die Pancake Maschine ist das Highlight vom Frühstück. Leider wurde die meisten Sachen nach 10 Uhr nicht mehr aufgefüllt, obwohl das Frühstück bis 10:30 geht. Beim Auschecken wurden wir auch nicht gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value Choice for Rome. This was a good choice for a 5 night stay. My room was an Executive room overlooking the courtyard with a balcony. The room was a good size with decent furniture and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was well designed and spacious. I ate every night in the hotel, once in the restaurant and the rest in the bar. I had good salads which were well presented and of good quality. Breakfast has more options than is usual in a HI Express. The staff were all pleasant and I'd like to particularly mention Romina on the front desk for her help and pleasant attitude. The only problem was that the hotel aircon was set to heat only which meant the room got too warm, even with the patio door open. It was only March but nevertheless it was too hot inside. I noticed all the other rooms had their windows open too. The hotel is a 7 minute walk to both the nearest metro and Tuscalana railway station, which is a 40 minute train ride from Fiumicino airport.
