Another great experience at a Holiday Inn Express.

The property was very clean and the staff was Great. The pool was down for repairs for a few hours, unfortunately it was the hours we wanted to use it. Tried using it the next day and it was ok, but definitely not the best. Water temp was chilly for an indoor pool and water appearance was not as good as it should have been. Like a lot of hotels, the noise traveled from the other rooms and hallways, not that there was any loud parties or anything but you could hear things. We had a baby with us so others may have felt the same and we were worried about distracting the other guests. Other than that it was a nice place and we would use it again if in the area.

You only have 1 chance to make a first impression. The staff knows how to make a great one. My stay was relaxing and I had all I needed to make myself feel like I wanted to stay forever. I completely and wholeheartedly recommend this Holiday Inn Express for your leisure or business needs.

While the outside and lobby of the Express were nice...the hallways and rooms have a dated feel and in our particular instance there were dirty spots on the carpet and bathroom floors...the walls in one bedroom had scuff marks ...and the rooms had a general "not quite clean" feel...the staff never greeted us except upon check in....they were always occuppied with the computers at the front desk...this is specific to this Express as with many others the front desk staff were extremely friendly and attentive...we won't be coming back here...sorry because this could have been a great place to stay....

This was the second time that I stayed at this hotel. The first time in early June was very pleasant and uneventful. Overall this second visit was quite good with one exception. On two of the three nights I stayed there I was awakened at approximately 3:00am by the sound of very heavy foot falls from the room above me. It lasted about 20 minutes then all was quiet again. I have no idea it was caused by another guest or staff.

This hotel was nice. I always stay in HI Express hotels when traveling, which I do frequently. I feel the cost of my room was quite a bit high, but I'm a faithful HI Express guy. I know I'll get quality and cleanliness at every one of these hotels, which I value more than the cost.

Upon check in there was a major mis-communication due to the phone rep I had booked with. I had traveled 22 hours to get to Chicago for a funeral. The phone rep said I must pay for 2 nights to be able to get into the room at 9:30am the time of our arrival, exhausted from driving straight thru I had no choice, the phone rep was suppose to let the staff know that we would be checking in around 10am. Well phone rep didn't do that and I was considered a NO SHOW. So I was looking at paying $321.00 for ONE NIGHT!!! Now the saving grace was the onsite staff. They took a big burden off of us. Once we arrived and they understood out situation, they made it right, got us right into a room so we could nap for a few hours before the wake. AND reduced the rate for bereavement rate. Moral of my story call the site direct. Phone reps don't care as they don't have to deal with us upon arrival. AND i did explain my situation. More hotels should be more accommodating for these type of situations, especially someone driving 22 hours from Florida, being told to bad wait till 4 pm is crazy. The front desk staff and manager where to kind and cheerful every time we saw them,
