Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good night's sleep, near-faultless service/facilities, but food merely OK
A good, up-to-date hotel in a recently developed area, the services are near-faultless and facilities are pretty impeccable. However, with plenty of alternative options available for eating and drinking (most notably a pub right next door), the food and drink facilities need to be much more competitive (and competitively-priced) to complete the package.

Clean comfortable hotel which was able to cope well even on a very busy night.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Studinah Attractive exterior, comfortable rroms.
I stayed at the Rotherham North Holiday in Express for a Squash tournament in Sheffield.
The hotel was a little further from my destination than I had expected but that was down to my choice - competitive price made up for the extra mileage.
The hotel itself is an attractive modern building and rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by beagle666 Caution if disabled
Good hotel, clean and comfortable. However, if you are disabled use with caution. Whilst there are adequate disabled parking bays directly outside the hotel these are often full of contractors vehicles (non disabled. I reported this to the desk staff on two separate occasions. However no action was taken. This meant I had to park in the general car park which meant moving baggage etc was far more difficult. There us a lot of construction in the local area and the contractors have clearly adopted the bar so this situation is unlikely to change in the short term.

Very pleasant stay. Would happily use again. Very quiet room despite proximity to busy road.
Like most hotels, the air conditioning was unable to cope with the local room environment, i.e. set at 24deg and still chilly with noticeable fan noise. Windows do not open. This is a very minor niggle.
The TV was a little fickle. Despite the profusion of sockets, (e.g. HDMI, USB, etc.) I could not use it to plug in an external device, e.g. tablet. So, Freeview only. - shame.
Hotel is easy to get to; directly opposite is a large Aldi store and next door a pub. Otherwise there are no shops or amenities within walking distance. (The hotel is situated within a new residential development.)
There is a large nature reserve to the north of the location. Had a lovely walk on my last evening, but there was no information within the hotel about this resource.
Ignore the standard evening menu, (not exciting) - try the daily Specials. They were very good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dudsy Another Great Stay convenient for work
I started using this hotel last year when I am helping to run courses in the Simulation Centre at the local Hospital.
This is one of the nicest Holiday Inns I have stayed in and I have stayed in a few over the years.
Great Modern feel and very nice Staff. No complaints at all. Will always prefer to stay here when working in Mexborough
