Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly, Comfortable Hotel The hotel is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to Tobalaba metro station, through a safe neighbourhood. Location is good for many businesses in the area, and a major shopping mall is just a 15 minute walk away. The hotel itself exceeded expectations. The staff are friendly, and welcoming. The property is well designed, including the spacious rooms, which are comfortable, and easy to unpack and relax. The included breakfast has a wide range of options and is more than filing. The breakfast/dining area is sunny and bright. This was my first stay at the 'Express' brand, and was more than surprised at the quality, service and value for money. I would stay here again if I return to Santiago. January 22, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Told off like a naughty school boy at breakfast This is an OK hotel. The staff are mostly friendly, the rooms are not bad and the location is fine. But at breakfast I was told off by the duty manager like I was a naughty schoolboy. Breakfast starts at 6:30. I went down at 6:40 - there was a barrier across the entrance. I waited until one of the serving staff beckoned me through. I started to serve myself. The manager approached me, and started the berate me for being there, telling me that I should have waited until 7. Eventually a member of the serving staff stepped in to say they had invited me through (10 minutes after the advertised opening time). The manager walked off without even an apology. Poor show frankly. I am a professor in my 40s - being treated like a 7 year who has misbehaved at school is frankly not on. January 20, 2016
