Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice feel to the hotel, fresh & clean with nice touches in the room First impressions when arriving was that it's big, fresh new feel with attractive decor! The room was also nicely decorated but a bit on the small size for a family room of four! Because there was a sofa bed, my partner had to share with his daughter and the Sofa bed was too small for an adult & 11 year old child! He had an uncomfortable sleep! Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, freshly made with good choice. 27 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Holiday Inn Express in the Southampton and Portsmouth The staff, Irene and Bernie and all the rest are just brilliant. Very courteous and helpful. Makes my weekly stay more like being at home. The rooms are all super clean and the choice of food from the menu is great. would like to see a few more pasta / salad options on the menu. I have stayed in a few holiday inn's and this is by far my favourite Well done to all the staff for making my stay so pleasurable. Thanks ... 25 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Stay Stayed here for 5 weeks while working away from Home,. Generally very good. Good sized rooms and very clean with pleasant staff. Only down side is the mediocre food and poor service in the mornings. Breakfast is ok but on two mornings no bacon available which ruined the full English option, In general a pleasant stay for the money but need to sort out the early morning kitchen staff. . 24 February 2014

Friendly faces and always helpful staff - trustworthy chambermaids and helpful restaurant staff with a varied menu. Always plenty to eat too. The value of this hotel is excellent plus free car park which isn't given everywhere. Will be coming back in the future. 24 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Credit card This was a business visit paid for by my company, therefore I took exception to the I insistance of the reception staff that they would not book me in unless I gave them a swipe of my own credit card, this showed a lack of trust in my company and myself. I have stayed in numerous hotels and this is the first time this has happened. I will not be staying at this hotel again. 23 February 2014

The staff were friendly and a young lady on reception made us very welcome and asked about our plans. We accessed the nearby leisure centre which I was initially concerned by the cost, however the facilities were great and my kids had a good time. As with most Holiday Inns I have been to the breakfast was great and I would recommend staying there if you are looking to explore the area. 16 February 2014

We have visited this hotel of many occasions when visiting family, and our little (well behaved) dog is also welcome at this hotel........the only hotel chain we have found to allow dogs, which is fantastic! From check in to the check out, the process and customer service is fantastic. Very pleasant, polite and informed staff who couldn't do enough to help. The facilities and room were spotless and the breakfast was good too! People are often quick to criticize................seldom praising when something is good. Well done Holiday Inn Express West End! We will return again soon. 13 February 2014
