I've been staying at this hotel now for 8 weeks for work and I really do recommend it.
The staff are so lovely and welcoming which takes the stress out of being away form home during the week.
Each time I return I get a warm welcome and feel at ease.
Good, tidy and clean hotel with lovely staff who will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

When arriving at the hotel around 11:30pm, the car park was pretty much full, with only 2/3 spaces left. Cars and vans were parked on verges, pathways and in any location that seemed fit. There were the typical drunk tradesmen outside the hotel shouting on their phones and holding pints of beer, swaying from left to right. The reception area was clean and tidy and we were welcomed immediately. Check-in was completed and at no point were we recognised as IHG Platinum members, just IHG Rewards Customers. We had just returned from the USA, (11 nights staying in 3 different Holiday Inn Express Hotels) and all went the extra mile, recognised us as Platinum members and although it was only a bottle of water and a granola bar, it was something extra for loyalty!!! The breakfast was probably the best thing about this hotel, with plenty on offer and all cooked to a good hot standard. The rooms for a new hotel were not brilliant compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed at in the UK in the 2 months prior to staying at this hotel. The showers were nowhere near as good, nor the room quality as good as the other hotels.

WE STOPPED AT THIS HOTEL MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE COST.IT WAS WAY ABOVE EXPECTATIONS AND SO CLEAN AND FRIENDLY, GREAT BREAKFAST (DID NOT HAVE DINNER) AND THE ROOM WAS LOVELY, WILL STOP HERE AGAIN.

Smart, clean, good room size, quiet, nice bar, decent snack food and respectable breakfast.
Only disappointment was a very uncomfortable mattress.

Happy with service of hotel staff, room and food.
The only thing I would have liked, was for the person who I checked with before arriving at the hotel from the southampton airport ,to have told me that there were roadworks on the main road to the hotel and I should drive until I reached the diversion sign. As I was unaware of this fact, the sat nav took me on a long round about way and it took me 30 minutes to get to the hotel instead of 10 mins.
Having said this, they may have been at a call centre.

On booking in the staff member appeared flustered he did not acknowledge my Gold Status or offer the normal level of service I normally receive.
We were then sent to the wrong room which was embarrassing for both myself & the occupant of the room.
On returning to reception the staff member did acknowledge his error but offered only a mumbled apology & reprogrammed the key.
This is the first time I have felt let down by the service at a Holiday Inn Express.

I had requested an accessible room on the ground floor, as these are usually near to reception and breakfast area. At this hotel they were
a long walk from reception so I had t be taken in my wheelchair
instead of walking.
The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Room is very comfy, clean and good size. Nice big bathroom.
The staff are very service minded and friendly!
The breakfast area is stylish and there is a surpricingly good selection of choice of food.
Great value without compromising on the quality.
