Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed; poor service We stayed at the HIE while visiting Springfield. The desk clerk did not greet us with a welcome nor recognize our IHG Platinum status. Hotel was very noisy with soccer team kids running amuck; slamming doors and screaming through the hallways. Bedding was comfortable and breakfast was good. When I went to checkout there was no Thank You or How was your stay. Just "OK". Staff need better trained on people skills. 11 September 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Adjoining rooms! We didn't even have to request adjoining rooms and we got them for our two rooms. Breakfast was great - easy check-in and check-out. Room clearly had some updates. Lots of choices for pillows. 10 September 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay This hotel is conveniently located just off I-55. Although our room was on the same side as the interstate we weren't disturbed by road noise. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, giving a good nights sleep. The pool was a bit difficult to get to having to go through the Crowne Plaza next door. Breakfast was ok with plenty of choices. 07 September 2014
