Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cancellation refund Really unhappy. I had booked 4 rooms admittedly on a non-refundable rate in order to entertain some customers. The customers cancelled on me more than 48 hours before, but the hotel would not refund my money. I will never stay at any Holiday inn express again. Their loss, I would have stayed with 3 other colleagues every month for the remainder of the year, we have now booked elsewhere. 28 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and Friendly Staff I was reluctant to book another Holiday Inn Express after my poor stay in the Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham but this Hotel was great Value, Great Location and very comfortable. Situated beside a nice pub the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel had a nice bar and breakfast area. I would recommend this for business or pleasure 24 February 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing not the usual Holiday Inn Express experience We have stayed in several Holiday Inns but were disappointed with our stay here. We were surprised that there was no fresh fruit available for breakfast. We were awake for much of the night as a coach parked just below us in the car park was being repaired for some time - there were attempts to start the engine and so we did not have a good night's sleep. Perhaps the problem was beyond the hotel's control, but no comment was made or apology when we checked out. 27 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My stay at Holiday Inn Express Stoke on Trent. I have been using this Holiday inn for one or two consecutive nights, monthly since 2009. I have booked in other members of staff for a weeks (4 nights) stay. I have always been happy with the service here, especially under the previous manager (Colin) who's attention to detail and customer service was superb. This visit I paid more than usual, even more for my second night than my first. But rather than have clean cups and glasses on my second night, (as you would expect) the dirty items from the morning before have been left by housekeeping with doilies placed over them to keep the bugs off the dregs. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean rooms but poor breakfast let it down! Impressed with the cleanliness of both the room and en suite. Bed was too soft, however that is a personal opinion. Breakfast was very dissapointing. All hot items of food should have been available to eat at the same time. Sausages and beans became available 20 mins after we had scrambled eggs. When the sausages and beans were ready there were no eggs! 15 January 2014
