Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Below standards The hotel was way below Holiday Inn Express standards. One elevator broken which was not a big deal until I got to my room and the toilet was broken and would not flush. (how does housekeeping not notice that?) moved to next room, bathroom door looked like milk had splashed on it and dried. Bed mattress was sagging. No water pressure. Other then nice front desk person this hotel. was not a pleasure to stay at. 03 November 2013

The only thing that I had against this hotel is when I called to confirm that my request of having two rooms connecting by a door was available I was told by a man that it was not possible but when I checked in the woman at the front desk was able to commentate my request. Not sure why she was able to do so but he wasn't. It seemed like he didn't even try. Other than this, this hotel was great. 21 October 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Overnight Stay We didn't have a problem booking in which went pretty straight forward although we was only staying for the one night, the room was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we wanted, we will stay there again the next time we visit. The only issue we had was with being picked up with the shuttle bus at Busch Gardens which didn't turn up and we was left stranded in the early hours of the morning after the Howl-O-Scream event and eventually having to get a taxi which apparently ripped us off, this was noted by the reception when we eventually got back to the hotel. 19 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Weekend We stayed here with a group and the hotel did a great job. We liked the room. It was clean and in good maintenance. All outlets worked, as well as, the HVAC. We also enjoyed the breakfast selections. The only down side was one of the elevators had problems, which they eventually shut it down. I would definitely stay here again. 16 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, nice big showerhead and great customer service!! I stayed here with my two children while visiting my daughter for USF Family Weekend. The employees were all helpful and polite. Nice big showerhead in shower. Loved the luxury bedding. It is close to the college and tons of places to eat! The last day of our stay, I sent my kids to Busch Gardens hoping I could relax a little by the pool. Even though checkout time is 11, they extended my checkout time until 1:00 p.m. and gave me free gym, computer and pool access until my kids returned at 3! Their shuttle runs to/from USF and Busch Gardens are very helpful, as well. Would definitely stay here if I am in the Tampa area again. 14 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AMAZING hotel! The Pros: Just about as perfect of a stay that you can ask from a hotel. The A/C didn't work in our first room, but the staff was great and immediately moved us to a room w/ working a/c. The beds were super comfortable, the rooms very quiet and spacious, everything from the floors to the ceiling were spotless clean, and most importantly great staff. Wonderful, wonderful stay! We look forward to returning next time we are in Tampa. The Cons: No safe in either of the rooms we were in. 04 October 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by poor quality mattresses I didnt like the mattresses, they were too soft. Shower water pressure was so low. All the toiletries were not enough for a day for 4 guest, 2 adults and 2 kids. So do we have to bring our own stuff all the time? 01 October 2013

I had an event in the TAmpa area and reserved a room online, then to my confusion of event details cancelled my reservation and booked a room at your location in St Pete (30 minutes away). After the event details were confirmed of previous location assurance of our event, your locations allowed me to cancel and rebook my original reservation THE SAME DAY with no penalties. The excellent customer service aiding in helping my mistake was so generous and so appreciated. Thank you!! 20 September 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely comfortable bed and pillows Our room was spacious, comfortable and had a jacuzzi bath. The room overlooked the rollercoasters at Busch Gardens. Our kids love this hotel as it has a pancake making machine at breakfast which they love & the breakfast staff are really friendly and helpful. The warm cinnamon buns are also delicious. The only downside was not being able to cash travellers cheques at reception. 07 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay This hotel is in a great location about 1/2 mile from the Busch gardens entrance. They also offer a shuttle which was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. I used their business computer and was able to print out our tickets easily. The breakfast was good for being included in the price. Two thumbs up. 06 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another good stay Another good Holiday Inn near a theme park. We had 3 kids for one room and this was fine. The usual pool and fitness equipment. The usual pancake machine with a selection of teas and fruit, eggs, toast bagels etc. A good breakfast. Good water pressure and decent room. Great location for the University and Busch Gardens. It was clean, there was a washer and dryer on our floor, there was plenty of parking. The FREE shuttle to the theme parks was a nice bonus along with the long list of chain style restaurants with in walking distance. WE partook of Red Lobster, the Olive Garden, Baskin Robbins and drove to the Waffle house. A pretty good value. 04 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel close to Busch Gardens The the hotel is convenient from Busch Gardens also has good access to major highways to get to Downtown, Ybor City, etc.. The hotel bed was excellent and the service was good quality. Also, the hotel offers free shuttle service to Busch Gardens park. The only thing I would have preferred different, is that the air conditioning does not automatically lie down all the time in the night, because at times the room was a little bit warm. 26 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean rooms great service Our stay was strickly to go to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. The hotel has a shuttle bus which takes and picks you up at the main entrance. This was during summer nights at Busch Gardens so we were able to go back to the hotel refresh a couple hours then return to the theme park hassle free!! There are several places in walking distance to eat. The staff is great (friendly, and caring to your every need and the rooms are very clean. When we go back to Busch Gardens again we will definitley stay at this hotel. 22 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by All we needed This hotel was perfect for our visit to Busch Gardens as we returned from Clearwater to Orlando. Stopping here was a pleasure with friendly helpful staff and a great free shuttle service to Busch which is literally only a minute away. The room was clean, tidy, modern, quiet and cool with everything we needed including a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast had a good selection of food and set us up well for the day. We did feel safe wandering outside and next door was a nice Italian restaurant with friendly staff and good food. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and thank everyone for making us feel so welcome. My only regret is that we didn't have time to stay longer. I would also mention the excellent phone booking process which was handled equally well. 18 August 2013

The garbage dump was too close to the hotel and smelled terrible. The employees were unprofessional by talking on their cell phones while working. 16 August 2013

I thought I would get the same experiece at Tampa-Busch Gardens Hoilday Inn and that was the main reason i booked the hotel but I was exteamly disappointed. 14 August 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by staff need training While the location is great (just down the street from Busch Gardens) and the physical condition and cleanliness of the facility were nice, we had a bad experience from the Hotel with ticketing for Busch Gardens/Adventure Island. the Hotel advertises package deals for the stay and tickets to Busch Gardens AND Adventure Island. I also purchased additional tickets from the front desk employee for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. The advertised package describes the tickets for use at both parks and the additional tickets purchased were for both parks. I clearly communicated that these tickets were for both parks and the front desk employee confirmed that they were. Not feeling sure, I asked again later that same night. Again I was told the tickets were for both parks. Imagine our shock on the attempted second day of use at Adventure Island (first day was at Busch Gardens)when the staff there said "these tickets are not usable here". I explained the situation and they replied, after asking what hotel sold me these tickets, "oh, we've had the same problem with that hotel before" !!! However, the Adventure Island staff worked with me but still charged me for an "upgrade" to gain admission. Mr Manager of the Hotel: are you reading this? and are you going to correct this problem? the next day from home, I called the Hotel clerk and explained the situation and she worked with me to credit my charge the amount additional I had to pay at Adventure Island. For this she gets credit for understanding and giving me customer service. But not the Manager and the other employees there. For those considering getting a package deal for the Hotel and the parks: beware! 13 August 2013
