Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff Cannot fault the hotel for comfort and cleanliness, we had one out of three nights in which a group of guests were being a nuisance and noisy for all the other guests. The staff/security dealt with this problem ASAP and we had no more disturbance. We have stayed here for the last four years and hope to return in the future. Great staff through out, very friendly and helpful, excellent. 11 May 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low quality experience I walked into the lobby desk, the receptionist, never raises the head, after a minute's wait she mumbled, "what can I do for you", Then I say so .. so.. and I get the room key. getting into the room. You need a real hard push to open the door. I get two beds, instead of the one bed room asked, there is no ironing board too, old tv, some extremely low priced tea/coffe packets. The bed looked like an old one. I call up the receptionist for the above things and she says we do not have a a single bed room, ironing stuff, you come to the reception, and for internet also, you come to reception and I will tell you, I get there and I got all these. But cannot login at the room for internet, but this time another person at the desk helped and the person even came to the room to fix it. The quality of the soap etc. are poor. Otherwise stay is OK. If you do not get anywhere else then probably this hotel is an option 07 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will come back again. Third year in a row that we've stayed here, as it's a good halfway stopover to the Lake District and it's great value because we book in advance. First time we stayed we were kept awake by some drunken argument outside, which is not the fault of the hotel. However, the last two years we've asked for rooms at the back of the hotel to avoid any potential noise from people and have been accommodated. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast choice is varied - cereals, toast, croissants, fruit, cheese, beans, scrambled eggs and sausages. Haven't had an evening meal there as yet because it's not been needed. We go to the lakes each year so we will be back. 02 May 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service and staff I arrived at approximately 11am and asked the staff if it possible for me to check in. I was advised that none of the rooms were clean and thereofre i would need to come back. During the time i made the booking i made a specific request to check in early and the staff said it shouldn't be a probelm. My husband and i then came back at 1pm to check in - the lady at the front desk Tracey, was extremely rude. She advised check-in for priority members was at 2pm and normal check in was at 4pm. You could search my records and see i have stayed in many many holiday inn and holiday inn express hotels over the years and i have never heard or read anything like this before. She was extremely rude when i questioned the logic behind this, as i hadn't seen anything on the website nor in my email confirmation. At which point she stormed off and leaving me hanging. Tracey then came back and started flicking through the records, for 10mins we were unaware of what was happening, by this time it was 1:30. Another member of staff came to deal with us, and Tracye started talking to them about our check-in and that it was possible, again leaving us hanging and humiliated. This then took another 10 mins at which point my husband was extremely annoyed and frustrated, never in our experience have we seen anything like this before. We then asked to speak to the manager and were finally able to check in. The attitude, rudeness and sheer disgusting behaviour of your staff was outrageous and unacceptable. For a hotel with such a prominent presence i am shocked at the lack of customer service displayed. Subsequently, my husband has also written an email to Head Office. If in doubt, i am sure everything was recorded on the cameras you have in your hotel. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at another Holiday Inn or Express again due to the experience. For staff that has no values and cannot put their customers first or treat them with respect, we have no room for giving them our business. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Regular guest I need to stay over in the area at least once a week and tried 3 other hotels before I settled on Holiday Inn Express and I now only use HIE at Junction 10. It's conveniently located and good value for money (first thing I look for); rooms are good - comfortable and very clean; but most importantly the staff are great - and that is why a stay here is so relaxed (I always get a great nights sleep). They go the extra mile in terms of being courteous, polite, helpful, efficient and welcoming. They all make an effort to know the names of regular clients - it's clear they appreciate your business. Their high standards of customer service extent to everyone - I would highly recommend this hotel for a stop over, extended stay or regular visit. The evening menu is fairly limited but nice and I (fussy eater) enjoy the food; the breakfast is a standard fare buffet with plenty of choice and sets you up nicely for the day. I haven't used the meeting rooms here, but they are a useful/convenient option for business travellers. This hotel gets my vote! 02 March 2013

The staff are all extremly friendly and very helpful in fact I think they are the best we have come across even the maintenance man speaks to you. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday inn Express Walsall recommended for midlands stay I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times recently when in Wolverhampton / Walsall area. The staff are excellant, the food service better than the usual HI Express fare. Sky Sports in main lounge. The only gripe I have is that unlike most HI Express it does not have free wi-fi in the main lounge, they charge £7 for a very poor connection.As a business traveller the evening is the chance to catch up on emails, submit reports etc so this is a bind. If they remedied this I would rate this five star plus so the hotel management know what to do. 14 February 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Unattentive Staff The customer does not fare well in your establishment. Your staff hide away in their office and do little by way of service. The atmosphere in the main reception/foyer area was dire and uninviting. I also have an issue with hotels that do not provide wifi - there is no excuse for this. Freezing rooms - no heating - REALLY!!! - what are you thinking? I will not be staying with you again. Pity - I do a lot of work in Walsall. 21 January 2013

How ever the person said he wouldn't offer me one unless I pay in full with NO refunds. I needed this room as my mother is very ill and won't last much longer. I've been staying here since it opened. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently Good Staff are always friendly and accommodating and rooms are clean, great location for the Midlands and one of the few hotels who still have smoking allowed in some of the bedrooms. The only thing I miss with Holiday Inn Express is no bath, only showers and no bacon at Breakfast but at least Breakfast cost is included. Well done Walsall! 21 November 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend Having visited the NEC a few times over last few years, I decided to stay at a different hotel this year, this hotel was not just great value but the rooms were clean & well maintained, the service was excellent & the breakfast was plentiful. There is also a nice family run pub (The Parkbrook), with great food within walking distance of the hotel. Looking forward to next year or an excuse to stay there again sooner. 22 October 2012
