Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing We had stayed at this HI Express last year, and it was adequate. This year, the first thing we found upon entering the room was that there were no chairs. So if I wanted to sit at the "desk" (using that designation very loosely) I was out of luck. So I asked for another room, which was not received well by the front desk person, who did change our room but with an attitude of being put out. The second room had a chair at the "desk" (actually small night table). However, before 6 a.m. a repetitive loud squeak started. It almost sounded like a sticky valve being turned, or large hanging bundles being dragged along a bar. This elicited a shrug from the front desk. There is a free breakfast, which is a nice feature. However, there are posters touting the pancakes to be had, but such was not the case. Two pancake machines but neither one working. From last year to this the overall appearance seemed more worn, and the stay was not a satisfying one. May 18, 2016

When I called Holiday Inn Express reservations the per night price had gone up about $100 so I stayed at another hotel for that night. May 18, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent staff In the breakfast room area, Stephanie and Thomas could not have been more professional or helpful; their interactions with the guests were exceptional. They were positive and friendly, were willing to go the extra step to making our visit more enjoyable. At the front desk, Kenny and Monique were friendly and helpful. They answered my "many questions" with patience and accuracy. Charles, the manager, was professional. We observed his skill in his position on several occasions. He handled a difficult situation with patience and competence. There were buses of children staying at the hotel; we didn't see them or hear them. They stayed on lower floors and ate in separate areas which worked well for all of us. Smoothly executed operation. May 16, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk staff was great! When we arrived, the pool door had a sign indicating the pool was closed. It was apparently open, but the maintenance staff had not removed the sign. The jacuzzi did not work at all. It was colder than the pool! That was disappointing. But the staff was quite responsive to our requests for help, and did actively try to fix the problems. May 12, 2016
