Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Friendly Hotel I booked this hotel as I was visiting family nearby this is the second time I have stayed here and the service was as good as my first visit. The breakfast is lovely and set me up for the day. The staff are the star of this hotel they are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is to much trouble, I checked out at 615am in the morning and the male member of staff was really great and made checking out a pleasure. Would highly recommend this hotel. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Return Visit 3rd visit to this particular hotel - as requested when making booking, got a room at the front of the hotel which is quieter or less noise heard from the trainline. Problem with the room's heating system was quickly dealt with by member of staff (Sara). Only negative about this visit was the chocolate muffins served one morning as part of breakfast - yuk! The Holiday Inn Express Watford was the ideal location for our visit to the Harry Potter Studio tour, being only a two minute walk from the station and tour bus point. The hotel is modern and the staff were professional and polite. Our room was a good size for a weekend stay and was very comfortable. It was also extremely clean and we loved the style and layout of the bathroom! I would totally recommend the Holiday Inn Express Watford if you are visiting Leavesdon Studios. May 2, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy, poor breakfast, nowhere to change. It was far too noisy, I was unable to sleep due to waking up all throughout the night due to noise within the hotel and the trains passing by close by. It would be suggested to fit triple glazing windows to reduce noise. I even had ear plugs in to reduce the noise but this did nothing. I had a very important interview the next day and due to my lack of sleep I feel I under performed. The breakfast was very poor compared to the offering of the Crowne Plaza that i'm used to. The eggs were still very much liquid, the sausages rubbery and the beans cold. All the pastries were over cooked and blackened so I didn't even try those. After my interview I wanted to change out of my clothes to travel back to Manchester in something more comfortable and was refused an area to get changed so had to change in the disabled toilets which were in a poor state and nobody should be expected to change in there. Not only this, a disabled customer was waiting outside the toilets for an extended time and began to berate me which was embarrassing in itself. I would never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again, which is disappointing as I often stay at Crowne Plaza and expected the Holiday Inn Express to meet similar standards. April 25, 2016
