Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect This was the second time we stayed at the holiday inn Watford. Yet again the staff were very helpful and friendly. They were also pleasant to the kids which always makes a difference. The hotel was clean and the food good. Would definitely come back a 3rd time.. 13 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, good location for Harry Potter Studio tour I loved the location of the hotel, it was just a few hundred yards away from the train station and only 10 minutes from the Warner Bros studio tour. Staff were very helpful and recommended a lovely Italian restaurant (L'Artista) which is a nice 15-20 minute walk away, just time to build up an appetite. Breakfast was good, not a huge cooked breakfast selection as there were only 3 hot items but they were all well prepared and plenty of other options available. Room was good and, unlike other hotels I've stayed in, was not overheated and stuffy, well done! 12 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Sausage i can only praise the quality of the rooms, the staff on reception who were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast. My stay has changed my view of Holiday Inn Express from basic, functional and cheap, to affordable quality. I travel a lot for my work and we have a long standing joke that you can judge the quality of a hotel by the quality of the breakfast sausage. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleasantly surprised Overnight stay - very comfortable, spotlessly clean, not disturbed by trains. Breakfast - We were expecting scrambled egg, beans and sausages. But as well as this there were different sorts of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread to toast, butter, marmalade, jam, crusty bread, croissants, Danish pastries, as much tea and coffee as you could drink - what more could you want! (and the sausages were fabulous!!). Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Excellent service. We would highly recommend to anyone. 01 December 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and functional This hotel is ok for a short stay if convenience is what you are seeking i.e. close proximity to Watford Junction. Rooms are functional, reasonably sized and comfortable but let down by external noise and lack of variety for cooked breakfast. 20 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room but impossible to sleep due to exterior noise I stayed at the hotel with my child so we could visit the harry potter studios. I thought it would Bernice to relax and have a good night sleep before returning home. Unfortunately, although the room was lovely, we were unable to sleep as there was a construction machine beeping all night long just outside our window by the train station. The noise was similar to a non stop fire alarm and started around 9pm and only stopped at 8am. It was impossible to relax and by the early morning we just wanted to go home and sleep so the purpose of our stay was basically ruined. 15 November 2014
