Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good value for stay Free fruit, cookies and lemon water. Staffs are friendly. Bus station is just walking about 2 mins that can go to santa monica beach, Beverly hills, Hollywood and LA downtown, it's very convenience for traveler who have no rent car. 19 March 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to LAX and FBI This was very good location due to the place I was training in LA. I was able to get frre parking for my stay and the price was good for the area. However, the neighborhood out back of my room (see picture) was not very safe looking. I was on the 3rd floor so I felt fairly safe, but this had a courtyard type of entrance so you had to wlak around the courtyard terrace to get to the elevator to get to the under greound parking. Other than a few fast food places, you have to drive a ways to get a good dinner. I frequented Jack-in-the-Box and Denny's while I was there. The one night I wanted a good meal I was sent to Bubba Shrimps to get Fried Oysters only to find out they did not serve them. I settled for fish and chips but not satisfied with the option, I'll make better plans next time i am in the area. Most places I travel this would not have been an issue so that was the biggest disappointment during this trip. 06 January 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible experience! Our stay from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day was the worst! We got back to our hotel at around midnight from our families house down the street we were visiting for Christmas. We had everything unpacked and I was ready to take a shower but decided to turn on the heater first because it was freezing. The heater doesn't work! My fiance called down and told them of the problem. They said there was no maintenance man around to try to fix it so they will have to move us to another room. Thinking they would at least upgrade us rooms for our troubles of having to pack everything back up and move rooms in the middle of the cold night (the hotel is outdoors rather than indoors) on Christmas of all days! But no they actually moved us to a smaller room which had wierd small rocks in the shower that may have came out of the faucet! It was disgusting. To make it worse the man who handled this situation was completely unsympathetic. No "I'm sorry" or anything. Not even a "Merry Christmas". He was acting like we were inconveniencing him! Before all this happened when we were checking in earlier in the day the same man at the front desk mentioned they had cookies and tea and coffee etc behind me. I looked over and saw the cookies were gone. The man at the front desk said he would re-fill them. I check hours later and the cookies are still empty! This hotel lacked customer service and were completely unaccomodating. The fact that it was Christmas made it all the more worse. I paid the price of an expensive hotel to get motel service and quality. My advice: Don't stay here! 30 December 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Was great for what I needed. Great stay at a nice place. Was not familiar with the area whatsoever, but I was glad to get to my room. It was new, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and I was able to grab a cup of coffee to go and some fruit. The only issue is how close the hotel lies to the 410. We're talking a stones throw. It's close and loud but not the end of the world. Overall a great place to stay, I recommend it. 07 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good customer service (lost and found) Everything was good. Two things I like the most. 1.The breakfast, both the area and relax atmosphere. 2.Customer service. I forgot about my pillow and comforter after I left. I called the hotel the next day after I returned home in Northern California. The hotel representative was able to retrieve my items and stored them in a bag with my name on the bag. Two months later I went back to get the items. The items were well kept. Special thanks to the representatives in this hotel. Every experience in this hotel was good. The room, the service ...etc. WIll come back again. 30 November 2013

The front desk staff is so very helpful, the food is delicious, and the beds and bathroom (the entire room to be honest) is always, always so clean. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great service, but stuffy room We asked for a non-smoking room but upon entering we could smell cigarette smoke. Also, the room was really stuffy but at least it was clean. The bed was comfortable as well but not as comfortable as other Holiday Inn beds that I've stayed prior. Overall it wasn't too bad, not sure if I would choose this hotel again though. Maybe for an urgent, last minute trip. 19 November 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room layout, nice bedding & close to restaurants I would recommend this hotel. We went to the UCLA Parents Weekend and it just took about 10 minutes to get there. We would go back in the future. The breakfast had a pancake and waffle maker and fresh donuts & omelets! 06 November 2013

On our 2nd stay there within a week, 20th October, young man working desk gave us a different room away from street noise immediately when requested. Breakfast is excellent with hot and cold choices. The website needs to disclose booking policies and inability to change or cancel reservations and not hide this language. 25 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service, Very Nice Stay My husband and I had a very nice experience at this hotel. The front counter staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. We were quite surprised by the complimentary, hot breakfast which included scrambled eggs, ham, sausage and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereal, muffins, and cinnamon rolls (just to name a few items). Although the hotel is located at a busy intersection, we didn't hear much noise. 15 October 2013

Further, the hotel is situated near the freeway. The area is very congested and loud. Given the aforementioned, I believe the hotel was way over priced. Staff helped at every turn, and one door lock wasn't up to snuff, I was graciously relocated. It's clean and close to where you need to be if west LA is where you need to be, but other than that, you can find just as good a place for the same price that doesn't sound like pit row of the Indianapolis 500. 05 October 2013

The outdoorsy feel for their breakfast service was wonderful, as was the variety served up to enjoy. Rooms were lovely and spacious, and late check out was not a hassle. Jaime was the evening desk clerk and he was friendly and helpful when we got in late and were hungry. Every one of the evening crew was nice, although the day person did send us the wrong direction! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff I recently traveled to LA from Ohio to be with my son who was having surgery at UCLA Medical Center. I stayed 4 nights at the hotel and was very comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. Having free Internet was a plus so I could stay connected with my family and friends about my sons status. The best part about my stay was that the front desk staff were extremely helpful and nice. Since I was a female traveling by myself, they made me feel quite comfortable and safe. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great breakfast The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast. There were hot eggs, meat and pancakes in addition to other usual continental food. We stayed for 4 nights, and eggs and meat were varied every day, which we were impressed with. For the price of the hotel though and the location, I would have expected free parking, larger room and larger bathroom, and a pool. With 2 adults and 2 children, it did feel crumped. There was no microwave in the hotel room which was also inconvenient. The room temperature control was difficult especially because the AC air blew directly to the person sleeping next to it, and the control button was old and not quite accurate and could not be adjusted fine to degrees. The room was quiet though despite its proximity to Santa Monica Blvd and the FWY. The floor was dirty and would not recommend walking bare footed. Free coffee and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch, but they run out of cookies too quickly. There was only on elevator which was used by the guests and staff and it was very slow. 26 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great value Stayed here while visiting friends in Santa Monica. Very convinient to Santa Monica Boulevard and the I-5. Room was clean. Parking is underneath and very convenient. Breakfast is servied in a cute atrium on the seconf floor. Well stocked and well attended. Had an issue with the picture on the TV being too dark. The hotel said that it was the same throughout the building and was caused by an issue with the cable provider. They were in the process of switching providers and offered to comp the cost of parking ($10/night). This seemed like a fair effort to satisfy the customer. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HOTEL IN GENERAL HOTEL WAS REALLY LOCATED IN A BAD SPOT, ALMOST UNDER THE 405 FREEWAY. THERE WAS A LOT OF TRAFFIC NOISE AT NIGHT AND EVEN SPENT ONE NIGHT LISTENING TO A DOMESTIC DISPUTE IN THE ALLEY BEHIND THE HOTEL. WITH NO POOL I DONT GET THE HIGH RATE AND ALSO TO PAY TO PARK AT THE HOTEL IS A TOTAL RIPOFF. THE ONLY THING WE ENJOYED WAS THE BREAKFAST BAR. IT HAD A LOT OF CHOICES AND THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. WE TURNED THE AIR CONDITIONER ON IN THE ROOM AND IT SMELLED SO BAD THAT WE HAD TO TRY TO FIND AN AIR FRESHENER. PULLING OUT OF THE PARKING GARAGE WAS AN ORDEAL ALSO. PRETTY MUCH DIDNT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THE PLACE AND WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN 13 August 2013
