Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Traveling Babyboomer An Enjoyable Weekend Break
By booking in advance we got a very good deal and were not disappointed. The hotel was central, clean, comfortable, bedroom and bathroom were all we could ask for and the breakfast included in the deal was very adequate if a bit lacking in choice. Being very central the hotel has limited car parking space but there is a multistorey carpark nearby.Altogether this was an enjoyable stay and we may well return next time we have a break in Aberdeen. Certainly good value for the money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by unimumayr Good location and a great night's sleep
Great place to stay at a semsible price. Only quibble would be amount of storage space but we were probably unusual in staying for four nights as a family. Breakfast would have been enhanced for me with tomatoes and bacon, but overall a good choice offered for most palates. Definitely use this hotel again.

A lot of noise from the rooms and from outside late at night, ask for a room at the rear if you stay in this one....

Great hotel, Close to the city centre. Room was clean, the only thing that Disappointed me was that I had to walk to the other side of the floor to get an iron in the ironing room. Even then it was not the best.

You've got to figure out a way to better manage your minimal parking garage. Configuration is terrible. I can't tell you the number of times we drove in only to have to turn around and back out because of an inability to turn the car around. And then the parking garage at the end of the street was a pain. I overheard your front desk staff mention to a customer that they couldn't give out any more change for parking because they were running low on coins. That's an issue that you guys need to manage - afterall, that's the system you've required guests to participate in. We had to make change several times. Extremely inconvenient.

Recomendaría, para viajes a Aberdeen, Holiday Inn Express. Muy bien situado, cerca de calle principal, con charity shops cerca, y buen acceso a la ciudad por autobus. El hotel es cómodo, limpio y seguro.

If ever a Hotel was Located in exactly the right spot. This is It. Chapel street is central to all of Aberdeen, Shopping a short distance away walk in 3 Minutes. Far enough of the main traffic road to be silent at night.
City buses and Taxis available for those travellers without a car. Three times in the past 18 months I have simply parked my car and walked everywhere for business and leisure.
A vast selection of restaurants and fast food places within a minutes walk. I am in my 70s and find the walks short and refreshing. A wonderful place to stay when in Aberdeen. The STAFF are both friendly and professional. They put the the word Hospitality first and foremost.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dervishsco Ok mainly but the irons are a joke
It might sound dramatic to single out the ironing facilities. However, I arrived late after my flight had been cancelled. I had to iron my trousers and shirt for the next day.
The tiny ironing board in the ironing rooms are just unusable! Trousers are impossible to iron and dragging a white shirt on the floor because the board isn't big enough to hold it covered it in rubbish.
Finding this out at 11pm after starting at 6.30am ranks as one of the most frustrating (and surprising for Holiday Inn!) hotel experiences I have ever had. If they are in all Expresses now I basically won't stay again.
The staff were good (as they always tend to be) and so was the location.

Room not quite big but adequate. Lovely bed and pillows. Not much choice for breakfast but then I am not a breakfast person! Overall I rate it quite highly considering their charges. I will recommend it highly to anyone wanting close proximity to the city centre as everywhere is within walking distance.

Overall my stay at this hotel was excellent. The Hotel had a fresh modern look and the reception very welcoming. The position of the Hotel could not have been better with both the railway and bus stations within easy walking distance. The only downside to my stay was the Breakfast the hot food selection was the same everyday and was far from being hot and more towards lukewarm so in my opinion not very inviting. On the third morning decided not to have hot food and chose cold buffet instead which was very enjoyable.I would definitely stop at this Hotel again if in Aberdeen again.

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend at the beginning of August. The hotel is located right in the city centre and has its own parking - even if sometimes you might find it full as it can only accommodate about 10-15 vehicles (anyway, there's a multi storey car park nearby). The staff at the reception were always ready to give you any advice you might need. The room was quite big and very comfortable. The breakfast did not totally satisfy us as there was not much choice in the sweets corner and the quality did not seem to measure up to the standard of the hotel itself. Nothing to complain about cleaningness of room and bathroom. Would definitely return and recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Touristfromusa Very courteous staff and great service
I stayed at this hotel for two weeks during my stay in Aberdeen. The staff were very kind, helpful and courteous and took great care to address my needs and concerns. The hotel is located right in the center of the city and is within walking distance to several restaurants and places on interest.
The only improvements I would suggest are to provide more lighting in the bedrooms and more breakfast food choices. The lights are too dim and inadequate and hence reading/writing and working on the computer is a bit stenuous to the eye. If more lighting with brighter bulbs are provided, I can assure you that this is one of the best hotels to stay in Aberdeen!!
Also it would be nice if you had a few more breakfast choices or vegetarian and rotate/change the menu on aregular basis so that guests are not bored of eating the same food for the entire duration of their stay.

Stopped off for an overnight and as like most other HIE hotels the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless but on a personal note the beds are too soft for my liking - but as it is
only for a night I can certainly cope with that. Would also recommend HIE/Indigo.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tucks47 Breakfasts
As a visitor to Scotland we think it would have been nice to have a taste of Scottish fare for breakfast such as Butteries or Softies ect instead of the NOT very nice croissants that are there as an alternative to bread. Also the scrambled egg is SO hard you can cut it with knife !! so not nice to eat at all. We know that it's a ' free breakfast', but surely it needs re-thinking for all us visitors to your wonderful city and beyond. Lets hope by next year when we return you would have re-thought your breakfast menu.

Arrived at 1am and was checking in and went to our room which was great on 3rd floor, not much to see out the window but that didn't bother me at all.
Large Rooms with comfortable beds, great nights sleep and was really quiet. The staff at the hotel let a friend in to decorate our room for our arrival which was a nice surprise for us.
Breakfast was also lovely although there was not a lot of selection there was no sausages or bacon on offer when we arrived but they may have came out later on once we had went and sat down.

Staff brilliant..Helpful, efficient on the ball.
Sorted out loyalty card number and points total without asking.
Breakfast slowly getting their, still room for improvement. Dreadful tables, small and unimaginative as is decor
Front seating area still needs looking at as does bar..
It is always difficult to get a room so that must say a lot about people wanting to stay there.

Express hotel okay, but no air conditioning in the room and the breakfast was bland with a limited choice of cooked food. Car parking at a premium, but otherwise all was acceptable for a one night stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Daryl M Okay, but not particularly good value for the money
I have stayed in this hotel several times. It is overpriced considering what they are offering.
The rooms are very Spartan. They don't have any upgraded rooms, even if you are entitled to one.
The rooms are not very clean. The upholstery on the sofa and chair are stained. The carpets are not very clean.
There is insufficient ventilation, leading to the rooms being stuffy.
There is no air conditioning. If you leave the window open at night, be prepared to get woken up early by the seagulls.
The breakfast is not very good. The eggs are particularly unappetizing.
The WIFI is free, but in the evenings, it's so congested that it doesn't work very well.
This hotel is not one of the better holiday inn express properties. I stay there only because of the location. There are lots of good restaurants and bars within a short walk.
