Nice enough room , immaculately clean, pretty noisy, brilliant showerdecent breakfast . I found the receptionist who checked us in exceptionaly stern boardering on rude, I actually couldn't look her in the eye by the time I left to find the room, she didn't crack a smile once and was certainly not friendly or welcoming, I think her name was Christine. The other receptionist was more approachable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Claire75 Enjoyable and great location
We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel with a breakfast to keep us going until well into the afternoon. The only down side is the hotel only has 10 free parking spaces which were never available and we had to use the multi storey car park, very local, at £1.00 per hour which can become pricey if your staying for a while. It would be great if Holiday Inn Express could negotiate a deal with the parking company for guests staying at the hotel.
However this was the only downside to staying at this hotel as the location to Union Street was only a 2 minute walk.

Hi, My name is Peter.
I was spending a couple of night here with my family, I found everything spot on especially help from staff, Nothing was too much trouble, This was my second stay here as I was impressed by my first stay the previous time if that makes sense. lol
I would say the only down side is for folk with cars, The Hotel car park is very restricted on spaces, If I mind there were about eleven spots so it is first come first served, Having said that, The car park security is 100% and there is a public car park just two minuets walk from the Hotel, Its a bit of a pain popping up to top up ones parking tickets and keeping an eye on the expiry time.
The Hotel is just one minuets walk from the Main Street in Aberdeen. 100% Ideal for all of Aberdeen's amenities.
Food. Well what can I say about that, Breakfast is a self services from 6.30 am to 9.30 am with choices for everyone just about across the board also I noticed for the late comer there was NO hassle to get them out of the breakfast room and some were still enjoying there fare at 10am which for me is a big plus, I would just like to add this not to do with the hotel but I think enhances ones visit, Across the street is a small bakers, There food is to die for and it is open all day & night just about. :-)
It was a great place to stay and I will be back on my next visit to Aberdeen.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JonfromLinde Generally poor and surprisingly expensive for HI Express
This hotel was an overnight stop over for me, during a series of business meetings around the UK. The hotel is centrally located in Aberdeen which is clearly an expensive place to stay due to the oil industry. That said, this hotel was not worth half of the massive huge fee per night I paid to stay there, I have stayed in better accommodation in central London for much less! Being a Holiday Inn Express there was no facility to eat dinner at the hotel, and the bar had the ambience of a morgue. I was advised that a chip shop, kebab shop and lively Weatherspoon's pub was just down the road. During my stay I was accommodated in a disabled room (101# which was sold to me as a benefit due to the increased space, this benefit soon turned into a negative as the room was situated right at the entrance hallway to the rooms and the hallway door #virtually outside of my room) banged and clattered right through the night as patrons entered and exited their rooms. Soundproofing this hotel is non-existent, I could hear the guy next door snoring and farting in his sleep surprisingly clearly. The bathroom of my room was specially modified to aid access by wheelchair bound patrons, which lead to it having a 'wet-room' style shower, but the bathroom was entirely unheated and has a sink so small that I couldn't even get the room kettle into it to make a cup of coffee, never mind shave with any semblance of convenience. Breakfast was appalling, situated in the dismal bar area the hot buffet consisted of a heated terrine of baked beans and some sausages. Toast and reasonable coffee saved my morning but simple things like laying out the order of the buffet correctly would help. Maybe even providing a few knives to butter ones toast would be a cheap and easy attempt to enhance the breakfast experience which was grim. Overall this hotel was generally poor and surprisingly expensive for a Holiday Inn Express. Not recommended.

Once again our visit to this hotel has been great. It is just a short walk to all the shops and eating places. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Aberdeen.

I'd booked approximately 2 months in advance for me and my friend to stay at the holiday inn. I'd stayed there a few years before and remembered it had been good.
The room was comfortable. We ordered drinks at the bar and were able to take them up to the room. Great location, friendly staff and great value for money. The complimentary hot cooked breakfast the next day was the icing on the cake. Really great stay will stay again and recommend!

I stay in the Aberdeen City Centre Holiday Inn Express 2-3 times a year and every time I go back it's like going home. I love the location, the comfort, the breakfasts, and the friendly staff - it really is the only place for me to stay when I am in Aberdeen. Check-in is effortless, and the room is always ready for me.
My thanks to the Management and staff of this wonderful hotel, they are a credit to Holiday Inn Express!

This was the second time of staying at Aberdeen City Centre Holiday Inn and as before I can not fault the facilities , cleanliness and service at hotel. This time my room was to the front of the hotel directly above the entrance and across from an all night bakers. I did not sleep a wink due to the constant noise from people in the street. I would recommend this hotel but would strongly advise you ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel.

My husband and I always use this hotel when we're staying in Aberdeen. Staff are really friendly & helpful; bedrooms & throughout the hotel is kept clean & tidy. We can't fault it. We usually stay for a light breakfast but last time all the guests seemed to arrive at the same time - waited for about half an hour but still no tables so just checked out & made our way home. Hotel certainly can't be blamed for that though.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent hotel in the heart of Aberdeen
We stayed one night for a friends 50th birthday celebrations, could have been more pleased. Checked in at 2pm straight to the room. The room was comfortable and we did use the bar facilities which were reasonably priced. Breakfast was served from 0630 and there was plenty of choice.
Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended if you need to be near the centre of things.

Car park only has space for a few cars but multi storey car park approx 100 yards away and quite cheap.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jimbo996 Great location for City centre shopping
The Hotel is in a very good spot for shopping in Union Street and adjoining streets. There you will find all the main stores and shops. The docks and sea is about 30 minutes walk, or you can take one of the buses to reach there.
There are many buses to be found in Union Street, which is 5 minutes walk from the Hotel.
If you bring your on car, The Holiday Inn Express hotel has it's own private car-park. Although this is car park has only 14 spaces. So parking is a bit hit and miss.
The staff are polite and friendly and the room was big and comfortable for a twin size. The beds were comfortable if you like to sleep on a firm mattress.
The room has good facilities and the bathroom en-suite was a good size, clean and tidy.
Breakfast was buffet style . All you could expect for a breakfast. Although with Holiday Inn, you do not get bacon with your cookerd breakfast, which to me was dissappointing as I really love bacon in my cooked breakfast.
However overall I thought the breakfast was good.
I would recommend this hotel to anybody visitng Aberdeen who wants a city centre location, for it's value.
I would definately stay there again if visiting Aberdeen.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by steinview Nice room and pleasant staff . Breakfast poor .
This hotel is a good example of why the express concept works so well. It is convenient, good value and the rooms are better than many more expensive hotels.
The breakfast was poor. Not as good as the last time I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. The sausages were rubbish and the croissants were more like bread . No bacon ever arrived . Everything in a packet was ok ! How about some Aberdeen butteries for breakfast ?
