The location is convenient, and the rooms are clean. Unfortunately, the young lady at the check-in desk was TOTALLY unfamiliar with the Priority Club Program. When I asked if they had any Platinum Priority upgrades available, I immediately got the deer-in-headlights look followed by, "I don't know what that is. I'll have to call my manager."

Not a bad place to stay even they were having roof repair going on during the two days I was there. The workers were long gone by the time it came time to settle in at night. Parking was a little bit of a problem because of the repairs during the day but that will be a short time problem.

This is a nice overall property. Lovely lobby, nice staff, nice pool area, close to a variety of restauants. We did have a small issue as it appeared that the cleaning folks must have gotten interupted before they finished our room. First thing I noticed was the toilet seat was up, but everything looked and smelled clean. Beds were clean, comfortable and made, but bathroom had not been restocked. We didn't have tissue, coffee, cream etc.... I stopped by the front desk and was given the items I noticed were missing, however I did not notice that we did not have coffee cups... So we could not make our usual morning coffee. Once we were ready for the day, we did go and have a great breakfast and coffee downstairs.

Stoped in about 12:30 AM, the staff was very helpful.
Our room was clean and comfortable.

Our one night stay turned into five. The staff were great and the rooms were comfy and clean. It had a nice pool. Lots of exterior cameras so I felt like the truck was safe!!
Would stay again!!!!

I stay at this hotel when traveling to Abilene. Good spot and only have one issue. I enjoy kicking back and watching TV in the evening and have noted that many Holiday Inns have upgraded their TVs, choice of premium channels, and HD service. While this location has a good qualtiy TV, the service is stoll antiquited analog. What is the point of getting better equipment, if you do not improve the level of service. How about getting into the 21st century. Otherwise, good place

I was in the area with a buddy while he was doing his duty for the local military base, his unit was stay at the Holiday Inn Express (HIE). It was convenient for myself to also stay at the hotel also. I found it very easy to call the HIE directly and reserve a room for the weekend. Upon arrival, I walked up the the desk and said hello to receptionist, she recognizes me by my voice and greeted by my first name. Being from Minnesota, this is a rarity. I checked into my king room, and found it to be very spacious, clean, and with all the amenities that you would need; iron, ironing board, coffee maker, blow drier, desk, 42" flat screen TV, and free Internet access. The bed was very comfortable with ample amount of pillow which I found to great.
The staff was very helpful and courteous. It was a staff members suggestion to sing up for the priority program, which I did. Staff directed me to several local areas of dining and other areas of interests that's kept me busy the entire weekend! Thank you!!!

Our overall experience at this hotel was good, initially, the representative could not find our reservation that was made last July for our son graduation. Thankful we brought our reservation printout with us because the hotel was completely full. It was some what difficult to get comfortable because the pillows had no firmness , as if they were worn-out. After getting settle in the room we discover that used soap was left in the shower, which led us to wonder how clean was the overall room. The overall appearance of the room appear to be good and the staff was tremendous, very professional, courteous, and very helpful and respectful. with the exception of the pillows and used soap we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay there again because the location was great and accessible to main highway, shopping , and eateries.

Was very satisfied with my stay. I've stayed in some real nasty hotels being with the railroad and this hotel is a good one for the price. If you're looking for a good place to sleep and shower and relax a little its good for the money. I will probably return when i go revisit Abilene again.

The hotel is nothing spectacular, just like any other Holiday Inn, EXCEPT FOR THE STAFF! They really are the most pleasant staff I think I have come across in my many months living in Hotels. It's not that common to find pleasant individuals that all have a smile and willingness to help. They went out of their way to get us a Suite and didn't have an attitude when we asked for a free upgrade or an early check in.They make the difference at this Hotel!
I can't understand why it has to be ruined now by my having to spend so much time to get the correct points on our account WHY CAN'T THE HOTELS ISSUE THE POINTS THEY ARE OFFERING CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME. I don't have enough time in my day to continue following up with hotels who can't do it correctly the first time. If you charge us for 4 nights then we have 4 nights that qualify for the additional points. Why is this so hard? Please get it right the first time. We paid more for the additional points on each and every one of the 4 nights, so I expect the points to be based on the charges. Thanks!

I usually travel for business and my biggest grip is uncomfortable beds but the bed in my room was very comfortable and I actually got to sleep. The room was very nice I had a sitting room and food area separate from the bedroom so it made it easy to transition from work mode to sleep mode.

I'm a frequent visitor to Abilene and prefer this HIE. It's off the beaten (Interstate) path. You can walk across the parking lot to Logans Roadhouse, Denneys or the local Harley Davidson dealership. There are also several more restaurants and shopping within the surrounding area. Staff is always very friendly and professional. Never had a problem here.

My business requires frequent travel and I have stayed at this property for several years, sometimes for a week at a time. During my recent stay the office chair was so uncomfortable that I had to use one of the bed pillows because the springs felt like they were ready to protrude thru the fabric.

We stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday. Our room appeared clean upon arrival, however, the room was not cleaned or fresh towels provided for the second and third day of our stay. Our room key was not working on the third night of our stay and arriving late and ready for a good night's rest that third night, we had to request towels, return to desk to have our key reactivated, return to the desk for towels when the attendant on duty told us she 'would try to find us towesl"

This hotel has a friendly staff, but the smell is terrible.
The room was OK, but the main areas smell bad. It is not cigarette smoke. The smell is more like a dirty gym locker.

Check-in service was great, and the rates were reasonable, partly because the hotel has yet to upgrade to a flat-screen TV and perhaps because it's not located directly on I-20.
However, when requesting a late check-out, what I heard was "I don't know if we have more (late check-out's) to give." Combine the front-desk answer with the floor charge barging in the room at 11am (the normal check out time without first checking with the front desk as to why I might still be there) told me that my approved late check-out status and Priority Club membership was not that important to this hotel, and thus I am not likely to stay there again if there are other choices in the area.
