Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fit For A King!!! My husband had business in Traverse City and he ask me to join him. We checked into the HIE for one night and was disappointed to check out the next morning. We had a fabulous stay at this HIE. The staff was most helpful in telling us about the area and pointing us to excellent places to dine. We were upgraded to a suite which overlooked the lake. Our room was extremely clean. We were treated like important guests. We will definitely be back to visit. February 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, Loud woman not so nice Our stay was good with the exception of the last night...we had an intoxicated woman on our floor that made it known she was impaired. The staff did an excellent job getting her calmed down and I assume she was asked to leave. The location is nice because it's centrally located and convenient to get around. February 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel I was very happy staying here. I just wanted to relax for a weekend. I wanted a hotel with a pool and a hot tub. this hotels pool and hot tub was just what I was hoping for. I am not an early riser so I can't speak for the breakfast but I suspect it was typically satisfactory as I have come to expect from this chain. The only thing I would have liked that I didn't have was a small refrigerator in the room. Maybe they can work on that as time goes on. January 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place My ONLY complaint would be why are your elevators so slow! I'm in that industry and have NEVER been on an elevator so slow. Only other thing would be pillows. I did not have a firm pillow this trip. Otherwise one of my favorite Holiday Inn Expresses I've stayed in. January 25, 2014

Your staff brought out Computer paper and Toner Cartridge so I wouldn't have to run around town looking. They really made the New Year (2014) start out WONDERFUL. Please Thank all employees who worked Dec 31 and January 1. January 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just because Very nice and affordable with a great pool area. We were on the second floor by the stairway for one night. There were several kids running around either in the stairwell,second floor and even right above us until around 1am. We had mentioned this to the front desk and she gave us a 10% refund without a blink of an eye. The rate was already the best in the area and this made it even better. I really liked the Hotel and would stay again,but not on the second floor or by the stairway. January 9, 2014
