We enjoyed our stay in Albermarle. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and the location is convenient to restaurants and shopping.

New upgraded pillows, New breakfast, but cable hit and miss on channel guide. This issue is being worked on so next stay I should have cable. Staff very friendly, and helpful, and knowledgeable of the area restaurants and businesses. They always have a kind word.

The walls are so thin, I could hear the person in the next room snoring. Additionally, if anyone were talking in the hallway, it sounded as if they were in the same room. I had to take over the counter sleep medication in order to get to and stay asleep.
The TV programming wasn't as advertised. The channel for HBO was a blank screen. I notified personnel, they attempted to reset; after that the response was 'there's nothing more I can do."

I stay at this location quite often. The grounds, lobby and entrance is always very clean and well kept. The rooms are usually the same way. This is the first visit in a very long time that the room wasn't cleaned properly. There was hair on the bathroom floor as well as hanging on the side of the tub. When I lowered the toilet seat I noticed dried urine drops on the top side of it. (which I had to clean before using the toilet). This pattern continued as I went on into the room. The small shelf with the microwave was dust covered (I could write my name in it). Lastly the carpet had much debris, maybe from shoes or socks even, right beside the bed.
As I said, I've stayed here quite a few times and this is very unusual. In case mgt is interested I was in room 211. Maybe you have new cleaning staff assigned to that area. Regardless the reason it was not up to your regular standards nor was it consistent with the appearance of the rest of your hotel. Hopefully my next visit I'll find the room cleaner, as I'm accustomed to at this hotel.
As a side note, I realize that it shouldn't be expected but I've gotten accustomed to having the lil rewards club welcome package in the room and it wasn't there this time. I understand it may be more of a pain to give them out at the front desk but this is twice I haven't gotten it since you changed to placing them in the room.

I stay here on a regular basis, the breakfast upgrade is great, the new turkey sausage, and the new biscuits beat the old one hands down. This breakfast is a good start to your day.
As always the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the areas dinning and things going on in the area. .

My overall experience was satisfying and comfortable.
As others have mention, it could use a little paint and updating.
Staff very friendly in person, but....... when I realize I left my laptop power adapter (absolutely positive) I call and ask to pay for shipping of it's return. Although the person was very friendly, absolutely no follow up or return calls as promised (twice!!!).
If housekeeping did not report finding the adapter, then I have concerns about dishonest employees, maybe I rethink my next stay. Rooms are comfortable, but NOT that large, as I explained exactly where the item was left.....???? Housekeeping honesty issues????

It is so nice to get what you expect with no unpleasant surprises. Courteous and well trained staff, clean and comfortable guestrooms, and all the extras. We are very particular about clean and updated accommodations and are never disappointed with Holiday Inn Express. This was our first stay in Albemarle, NC and the excellent location and accessibility was a plus. Everything we needed was nearby. From being greeted by Peggy upon our arrival to the excellent breakfast and casual conversation with Miss Betty in the dining area, we were comfortable. That is why we are loyal to Holiday Inn Express and Suites.
