The rooms are very nice. But, the bathrooms are way to tiny in order to close the bathroom door we had to lift the lid close it and than put it down and in order to open it you do the opposite. Also you didn't have enough handicap 2 bed's in the smoking floor. But, overall we had a great stay.

On our way through Albuquerque we stayed at this property. As a return guest we were familiar with this location. Check in was late and very easy. Breakfast was okay. Not the usual as they didn't have the usual items. Everything considered we will return to the property in the future.

The hotel and all it employeese were the most understanding and frendly,I was in Albuquerque for an appoment at the UNM Cancer Hospital.I was a little scared but relief come,with the at home and frendly atmisphore,that hit me and my sister.I would recomend to any one with the same 1st time cancer app.this is the hotel to stay.I want to thank all the staff for there samiles and all the support,owners,maintance,cleaning staff, kitchen ladyies,genarl manager and last but not least the guys and gails that worked the front desk. My stay there will always be one I will brag about.Thank You All.From 519,&520

1. Room: nice and clean
2. Beds: VERY COMFORTABLE, nice pillows too, plenty of them
3. Bedroom: isolation wall between bed/couch was a nice touch
4. Bath: small, but plenty of hot water, towels. Separate vanity made up for bathroom size
5. Closet nicely located with enough room for two suitcases
6. Wifi good signal and easy to setup
6. TV average number of channels, nice sized, and well located
7. Sitting area: Nice couch with coffee table, plenty of light
8. Business desk, nice large enough to work
9. Kitchen Area: good with expected amenities
10. Noise level: Low noise very little from hallway or next door
11. Breakfast area, a large number of choices for breakfast; staff was very helpful, with plenty of seating
12. Hotel Staff: Very friendly
13. Parking: Plenty of parking in good location with a Walgreen's, restaurants, gas, and easy access to freeway

The woman who was in charge of the breakfast room was fantastic. She greated people like old friends and brightened up the room while also taking great care of the food items.

Everything was as expected for this type of hotel. Used credit points for reservations. Didn't get assigned to a handicapped accessible room per reservations. Was able to manage without accessible room for the one night. Not sure why reservation wasn't provided as reserved. AC/heating unit was noisy.

My girlfriend and I had a reservation at a different Holiday Inn in Albuquerque but were tired of driving and still had friends to meet. We stopped at the Midtown and asked if we could change our reservation without a fee. They had it done in less than five minutes! The room was cheaper too. Outstanding customer service. As for the room etc. it was the normal, good value that HIE provides.

Our original room had dirty pillow cases with other people's curly long hair still on them. The bathroom smelled like urine and later understood why. The toilet doesn't flush and threatens to overflow as the water does not drain.
The staff provided new pillow cases to address the matter but we could not know if sheets had been changed causing uneasiness and unable to relax. When the toilet would not work right, the new staff finally changed our room. I was suppose to ask the manager to restore the points we used to stay as it was a rewards night stay.

This is a good Holiday Inn Express. It is not brand new, but nicely furnished. The bed is not excellent, but good. The sink area is in view of the rest of the room, there is a separate area with microwave, coffee pot, small refrigerator, and a hide-a-bed sofa. The tub/toilet is a small separate room.
Clean, plenty of nice towels. You can walk from entrance across parking lot to an Applebee's restaurant....no driving necessary which is nice.

Complaints:
1. Rather noticeable smell of natural gas from their laundry room.
2. Front entrance lights were NOT on although it was already dark!
(This not only made it look univiting but present a real safety issue!!!
When questioned, clerk at front desk & maintenance person said they could not turn lights on because they were on a timer. Maybe there should be an overide switch or lights should be put on a photo cell).

We arrived later in the day - ie around 7 pm. It was nice that there was a restaurant next door ( Appleby's) so we did not have to drive away or order in. The room was excellent - close to the freeway and easy to get underway to Phoenix the next morning. The breakfast was ok- good selection and pancake machine worked quickly. Coffee was cold and most containers were empty. There was no microwave in the kitchen area - so I warmed my coffee up in the room.
Rooms were ok, bed was comfortable but the sheets appeared to be kind of worn out.
Door attendent appeared to be spending too much time outside smoking but was courteous and helpful enough.

This is our favorite place to stay in Albuquerque. Rooms are clean and nice. Staff (especially Tonya who keeps the breakfast coming!) are great.

Horrible mattresses and furniture. To boot, the room rate was more than double what it normally would run due to Balloon Fest. Even at regular room rate, I will stay somewhere else.
Staff was great, on a positive note.

The staff was great. We stayed twice while traveling cross-county. Both time the staff assisted us in setting up activities. The Balloon Fiesta was on during on of the visits and the hotel staff arranged for shuttle services to the Fiesta. The rooms were good.
