However, we went and enjoyed the town and return back to the hotel tired to find our room had not been cleaned. When we called the front desk for clean towels we were told we would have to get them. I stayed at the Albuquerque Midtown for business and even before I got to the hotel the great service began when Abbey picked me up at the Airport. She was very professional and and super nice! Since this was my first trip to Albuquerque she made it a point to point out some great local attractions and tell me a little about the area. She is truly a shining star! When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted warmly. Check in was a breeze and my room was superb! Ottmar the General Manager was also in the lobby and took the time to talk to me. The room was ready and was clean and comfortable. Did have a couple of issues with the a/c being very loud and the bathroom door not latching properly. Reported these to the front desk at check out and am sure they will be taken care of. Over all the stay was good. June 3, 2014

The room was quiet, which we needed, and clean. Next door is Applebees restaurant which made us a to-go meal which we ate in the room and relaxed. Thanks for a great stay. June 2, 2014

She not only shared info regarding the hotel but about the town and her own personal experiences of things she thought we might like to do. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by non-smoking rooms on smoking floors are miserable My wife's non-smoking room was located on a smoking floor which is unacceptable. When she complained to management, she was told no other rooms were available. No other solution and no compensation such as a reduced rate was offered. In 6 years of staying at HIE properties, this was the first we encountered that allowed smoking, all others have been completely non-smoking. In the future we will not book a room at any HIE that is not completely non-smoking. The fact that we even have to check makes it less likely to use this Brand again. This is 2014, not 1965. Kick the smokers out and make all properties non-smoking. May 31, 2014

Every day I passed by the front desk I was greeted. The beds were comfortable and it was because the agent told me they had just gotten them not long ago. Had a bit noisy neighbor but overall I will return May 30, 2014

The staff is very hospitable and the breakfast was delicious. I did encounter a problem with my television but the front desk and maintenance department were very fast to resolve the issue. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and quiet hotel My daughter was mugged in old town just outside the Seasons restaurant at 5:30 pm. Luckily this hotel is not near old town although the policeman said to be careful at this hotel location too. The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and after that horrible ordeal we were able to relax comfortably in our room.. May 30, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A few small fixes They need to update the wall plugs so they hold my razor cord in. I have stayed there quite a few times and every room has the same issue. They also need to fix the printer in the business center. It does not print your boarding pass (southwest) completely. It leaves about a half inch off of the left side. TSA will not accept it because you can not see the full name. May 24, 2014

Breakfast was continually monitored to make sure food did not run out. We stay with this chain due to their non-smoking policy and excellent beds. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by worst night ever Desk clerk at check in was great. After that our visit went downhill. Night desk clerk did not have change so we could use laundry. In our room the sheets were too small for the bed and kept popping off so we were sleeping on the pad. gross!!! The curtains did not close and the neon lights shined through. the radiator type AC kept coming on and was very noisy. The pool was so dirty and cold that we could not use. We had met family there and the kids wanted to swim and it was too dirty for them. The check out clerk named Ronnie seemed to not care when we complained and said we should have told them earlier but we were just trying to get through the night which was all we did. May 24, 2014

She greeted everyone with a smile, a "good morning" and was always available to help you find what you were looking for. She is the only reason I found the Holiday Inn Express Excellent. The rest of the staff was pretty neutral, the rooms were big, but starting to show a bit of age. The beds were very nice and comfortable. May 23, 2014

Shower needs a water saver flow restrictor installed. Water pressure and quantity was intense enough the shower curtain could not contain it and the bathroom floor flooded. Room 522. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel This was a very good hotel. The property is clean and presentable and the rooms were clean and tidy. The only issues we had were the Refrigerator and ice box didn't get cold. It didn't refreeze our ice block for the cooler for the road trip. It also didn't chill our drinks. Also, this hotel has an "in-wall" or "below window" air conditioning system. These are inherently noisy when they run. Other than that, however, the stay was nice. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Great selection including scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravey among many other standard selections. Excellent value overall for the price of the rooms. May 15, 2014
