We chose this motel as the location for a long holiday weekend with family. Upon arrival, I was checking in and requested that our rooms be as near to each other as possible. When I asked this I was told there was no way to accommodate the request. I asked if there was ANY way we could be near each other as the purpose of this trip was to see family. The same floor would have sufficed, the rooms didn't need to be right next to each other. I was rudely told no. When our other party checked in they asked the same thing and again were informed rudely no. Normally that wouldn't be enough to write a negative review but this was the attitude of the staff THE WHOLE WEEKEND. Every employee acted disgruntled when we were at the front desk. I called for towels, was told they were out (really???) and then was hung up on. We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and that was the one positive interaction that was had.
Overall it's a convenient location to stay and a clean hotel but the staff needs some serious training in 'customer service'.

this is a nice location, easy to find. the rooms are nice, clean and arranged for easy access. The A/C was not working properly in our room.

We always stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel because we know that we will be getting a great hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Albuquerque Midtown also delivered this. The hotel is very nice & clean, and the employees were friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a smile, and since we are rewards members we were given an upgrade to a larger room...nice. We had to stay an extra night, due to snow & heavy winds. But, even after we checked out and had to return after realizing we weren't going to make it on the icy roads, we were given our same room (even though the hotel was pretty busy) and guaranteed the same price as the night before. Thank you!
** I also wanted to say a special thank you to the friendly, caring young lady who was working the breakfast area the morning of Nov 25. I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but she was cheerful & funny, and really brightened up my morning. You could tell she loved her job and loved being there for the hotel guests.
