Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So so This location lacks parking because I was told it shares a lot. After driving around the a few times, an employee told me to park in the handicapped. I felt that was unacceptable. Luckily, the next door hotel allowed me to park in theirs. This location has what other HIE hotels have like the fridge and breakfast, but it was a bit older. The walls are thin and I could hear the neighbors. It also seems to lack some of the care other locations have. Shower was dated (no tub), clock was not plugged in and then made noise, bathroom wallpaper was starting to come off and the a/c was noisy. But the place was clean and I like staying with the brand I know and about what to expect. Overall, wasn't great and wasn't terrible. July 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bummer Rooms are very small and furniture is dated. AC loud. Kids in hot tub right outside of room window were very loud. Below average HIE as I've stayed in many. Reservations were in error but after long discussions with desk staff, eventually straightened out. There was confusion about redeeming points or partial stay. Phone reservations had them correct. The desk staff could not understand what had happened at first. It appeared we would not have a room at first and they were saying there was a problem. All of the sudden there wasn't! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent hotel I am not usually a fan of "motel" style hotels, with the doors on the exterior and I almost didn't stay because of this. There is a difference between what I am used to in other Holiday Inn Expresses and this one. Other than a comfortable bed, it felt like a lesser experience than I am used to. One thing that might be a benefit to some. They have some rooms that open up to the poor area. If you are planning a stay and have children and want to spend significant time in the pool, you might inquire into one of these rooms. July 14, 2013

All of the staff (from the management to the front desk to the housekeeping to the dining attendants to the security) were wonderful, kind and attentive. My room was spotless. The breakfasts were superb and delicious. The exercise equipment was top-notch. All of this added to the enjoyable time I had in beautiful Albuquerque, NM. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Would not return We checked into our old, shabby pet friendly room with a warning that there would be a fine of $250 if we went out to dinner leaving the dog in the room. We brought dinner in (not a problem) but no way to eat except one person sitting on the bed. The the room seriously needed updating -- wallpaper falling off the wall - dirty looking. The pillows were old and worn out. The front desk called upon arrival to see if we needed anything and was told that yes, they have more pillows, but to come pick them up!! Would NEVER return. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sad little place we have been staying in HIE on our travels cross country. This one was one of the properties we will never stay at again. Very old and run down. I was not greeted as a priority member and our room had a common window to the inside pool area covered only by a thin window covering. The staff and property felt run down and old. HIE either needs to have them do a renoveation or consider selling this property. The rooms also had the outside car to room, no interior doors. Breakfast was something you would find in an Econolodge. June 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but not quite the typical Holiday Inn Express Unlike the other Holiday Inn Express facilities we’ve been to, this one is clearly an older facility. Still it has been reasonably well maintained. All access is via exterior corridors. This makes unloading and loading luggage convenient for those ground floor rooms that face the outside of the complex. But half of the ground floor rooms face a small grass courtyard with trees and a gazebo. There is an elevator to provide easier access to the second floor rooms. But it is not centrally located, so it can require a somewhat lengthy walk for rooms on the opposite side of the facility. As an older facility, our room was somewhat small, with a shower but no tub. We chose this Holiday Inn Express because its location allowed us to avoid morning rush hour traffic when we departed. June 19, 2013

The room was nice and we enjoyed the fact that the staff moved us to a 1st floor room without any hassle! After six weeks on the road the sameness of the breakfasts was getting a bit old, though. It really annoys me off to have to tell the desk at check in that I am Platinum and then wrestle for an upgrade. Not here, the staff welcomed me as a Platinum member, gave me a little bag with some snacks and offered me a choice of different rooms. Very nice!!! Great staff, crisp clean room, excellent breakfast, all I wanted and expect. June 7, 2013

Sticky counter tops, stained linens, toilet didnt flush, air conditioner iffy at best. The worst was, when we went to check in... our reservation had been cancelled!! They blamed the web site.. The staff bent over backwards for us to make us happy. I feel bad writing a not so good review because they were so nice, but they need to step it up if they want us to return. June 2, 2013

Staff was friendly but check in took a while. I am a priority club member and usually when I check in we get a complimentary bottled water, snack, bar drink, or something, but received nothing here. It was a pleasant stay, I've just come to expect a little more from this chain. There is another Holiday Inn Express down the road that I heard it nice. May 31, 2013

We enjoyed using the inside pool, but the water was very cloudy - it needs to be serviced by a pool service company. The chemicals probably are out of balance. The tiles in the SPA were stained and it was not very inviting, The service personnel were polite and efficient. April 25, 2013

The staff was MORE than caring and accommodating to me and the members of my family who also stayed there for periods of 4 or more days. By staff, I mean all management and support staff: the front desk staff; breakfast room staff; housekeeping staff; security staff; maintenance staff. I have stayed here many times, and it will continue to be my hotel of choice whenever I am in Albuquerque. April 17, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Two stays - One good - One fair We stayed at this HIX two night in one week (one on our way to our destination and one on the return trip.) The first night was not great. The mattresses seemed to be old and a little uncomfortable. The heater/cooler was very noisy all night. Our room was on the second floor. The second night was much better. The mattresses, though not top-of-the-line, were much better and we were not bothered by noise. Our room was on the first floor. The breakfast was very good, but the breakfast room is a little small and crowded, especially when it is busy. We would stay at this HIX again though. The people were very friendly and accommodating. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff and clean comfortable room Of the 4 nights I stayed, I had one night of several woman chatting late into the night and loud laughing... The bed pillows were plush enough to cover my head and block out most of it.. My other 3 nights were great and comfortable after long days sightseeing and visiting with family. We used the pool on a couple of nights. The hot tub was way to hot for me and some others.. I wish the dining area were larger, it was crowded, but some new food items were offered each day. I enjoyed the yogurt, oatmeal and fresh fruit! Thank you! March 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff I checked in on a Tuesday evening, very ill. The staff called for transportation to a medical facility. I was admitted, and called back to the front desk. Staff held my room, and secured it until my wife arrived later the next day. They assisted my wife in every way possible while I was hospitalized. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My one night stay extended to 5 with my medical condition. I am very thankful to the staff that looked out for me, and my family during this difficult time! March 8, 2013
