To visit Old Town Albuquerque, this was a no brainer. We were so close and it was so easy to get there it was great. We were given great tips on where to eat and really enjoyed our stay. We will stay here again next time we come to Albuquerque.

We had a great time at HIE Old Town Albuquerque, and have alread told friends and family....and will continue to do so.
EVERY member of your staff went overboard to make sure we were well taken care of. The facilities were very clean and we had no problems at all....A-1 service all the way around.
Thanks again, we wil be back!!!

This hotel had a very nice location. However, the best part of the visit was Penny at the front desk. She was very helpful with several different issues we had come up. We couldn't have had better service! Her help made our stay relaxing and worryfree.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VV80 Nice!! room 123
We were at the end of a 12 hour drive from Anaheim when we were relieved to see our hotel located right off Interstate 40. Upon arrival I was welcomed by 3 lovely ladies and was thanked for being a rewards member.
Property was nice, not your ordinary hotel with long boring hallways. Breakfast menu consisted of eggs, bacon, cereals, individual yoplait yogurt, juices- wide variety.
A convenience store is located across the street and a small ballpark along with the Sandia Mountains.
Only negative was that this property needs a security gate. Anyone walking the streets can tap on your windows.
Other than that I would definately return with my family.
We were too exhausted from our drive that we did not use the indoor pool.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LR63 Comfortable Bed But Too Much Surrounding Noise
Our room was next to the laundry and there was considerable noise both in the hallway and with the A/C unit just outside the window. The TV did not work properly and the staff informed us they had just converted to Hi Definition and were having some problems with TV reception. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and will again because of its location. However, I do not want this room.

This Holiday Inn Express is a wonderful place to stay.
The staff is great and very helpful and willing to give directions or answer any question you may have. The hotel manager is a great guy and a hoot to visit with. This is a great location just off I-40 and with very easy access to Old Town. When I return to Albuquerque, I will stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Top notch hotel and a great staff. John C

This was a day visit in Albuquerque on the way north from Texas. Staff was friendly at the check-in counter and the breakfast area. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast items were readily refilled. Hotel is within walking distance to the Historic Old Town. Would stay in this hotel if passing Albuquerque again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ILtraveler53 WOW, the place to stay
From the moment that I walked into the lobby, I was welcomed by the front desk. Initially, I thought that this hotel was converted from a different property but soon found out that it was a recent build. The rooms were spacious, the lobby and other areas were very well designed. The lounge area was connected to the lobby however was separated in order to allow some privacy. The areas were well lit with both natural and artificial light. We had a great night sleep, a good breakfast and was greeted by the manager. During breakfast, the manager went from guest to guest to welcome them to the hotel, ask if there were any concerns and to assist travelers with the questions that they might have regarding the area. If you are traveling in this area...this IS the place to spend the night.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Deemarie great place to stay
This was a great hotel, clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that they need a shuttle to take people to Old Town all the time . The shuttle only goes for a short time and not in the evening. This was a problem because we had to use a taxi to get there and the taxi was not a good experience. Otherwise it was a great place to stay

I left my camera in the room. Realizing that I had done so 30 minutes after leaving I immediately called the hotel. They were able to locate the camera and return it to me. Thanks!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Annualvisitors Good place, price high
Have to pay more to view parking lot as that is called a mountain view. In order to see the mountains you have to go to the window of the rooms in which we have stayed. From the bed and most of the room you can only see the other wing of the building or the office building next door. Was ankle deep in water by the time we finished our showers. They did fix it since we had to stay 2 nights and pointed it out to them. Also the toilet seat won't stay up men. No soap dish or hand rail in the shower.
Overall it is a good place to stay and we would recommend it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MidwestVisitor2013 Comfortable Rooms and Excellent Staff!!
We were so happy with our experience at his hotel. Upon arrival, we asked about upgrading to a suite so our family had more room to spread out. The room had a sofa, two tv's and two bathrooms. It was such a treat compared to spending similar money elsewhere for a smaller room.
The hotel is new and is well-appointed, quiet, comfortable. The staff really made the experience top notch. They always had a friendly smile, time to chat, and their business manager provided a lot of tourist information at breakfast so we could make the most out of our stay.
Location was very convenient to Old Town and downtown area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel!!

We always stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling. The rates are reasonable, the breakfast is a generous bonus when traveling with children, and the accommodations are predictable. The Old Town Holiday Inn Express is our favorite and we’re already planning our next visit. The overall customer service sets this HIE apart from all others where we’ve stayed. Although we prefer to keep our assigned room clean and tidy without daily service from the housekeeping staff, we found them to be available, friendly, and they provided us with the items we requested without hesitation. Another nice touch is the friendly gentleman who casually visits with guests in the breakfast area. He’s a fountain of knowledge about local attractions and directions. Although it certainly doesn’t detract from my overall satisfaction, I have a suggestion for future planning/change. The area designated for smoking is in the pathway of those who must use handicapped parking. It would be great if that area was moved to the other side of the hotel entrance so that folks who need handicapped parking could enter the hotel without passing through that sometimes smoky space.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by shaquila23 MY fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express
I was finishing up my tenure as a Girl Scout leader and we decided to stay at this property. What a dream! It was a Friday that we checked in and the night flowed smoothly. The pool is the perfect temp and so was the jacuzzi. It was a very comfortable setting and well decorated. The beds were luxurious and super comfy! On check out morning we went down to have breakfast and it was very well stocked. Anything from pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy to whatever kind of cereal my daughter wanted to eat. I realized when I get home and unpacked I had left my swimming suit. Which any woman knows is a horrible moment!! I called the front desk and told her I thought it might be stuck in the towels. She was so kind and wonderful. She went upstairs; searched thru the towels and brought my suit down. When she called I thought "Wow this place is awesome. I heartily recommend staying here whether from town a staycation or on vacation.

The whole room was comfortable. The arrangement of the furniture. The cleanness of the room. The whole package.
The bed was great.
The staff was very helpful. They gave us helpful directions and the morning man made sure we had coffee for an early departure.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ron1957 Nice stay
The hotel was a nice value and the staff very helpful and pleasant. The characterization as "Historic Old Town" though is a bit of a misnomer...the Old Town is not within walking distance unless you want to navigate under the interstate and past a bunch a scary vacant lots. It is definitely a safer trip by car both for safety and distance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by yvonne66 I love Holiday Inn Express
We just completed a week long trip with grand kids. We stayed at three Holiday Inn Express sites and 3 other places. Holiday Inn is our #1 preference. The rooms are always clean and functional, facilities very accommodating, and staff friendly and helpful. I have yet to find the exception. Rates were very competitive, too.

Penny was the reason we booked another stay at this location. We had some questions and concerns, so we called and spoke with Penny. She answered our questions and made excellent recommendations.
Sara spoiled my husband with the cookies. She couldn't have been more accommodating. She also made wonderful suggestions regarding where to eat and how to get to various locations.
We had a problem with receiving all the TV stations, so we mentioned it at the front desk. Mike went immediately to the room and corrected the problem.

the faucet in the bathroom was loose, one guy in the next room farted and we HEARD it, they talked until late in the night and we could hear what they were saying. Kept us awake. The walls are exactly Paper Thin. The TV was very small.
We always stay at Holiday Express and we will continue to, just not at the one in Albuquerque in old town.

Our car suffered a complete alternator failure while driving to a breakfast meeting with a client. As a result, we were stranded miles from the facility while the repair was accomplished and unable to return to the property to complete checkout. The staff understood, and was pleased to provide us with a very late checkout time.
That kind of above-and-beyond-the-call service will bring us back again, rest assured.
