Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel We enjoyed staying in your hotel. What sets this hotel apart from other chains is friendly staff, and their willingness to accomodate your needs. Example- for our first night we had a room by the elevator shaft and my husband is a light sleeper so we asked the Hotel Manager - Harris if we could move. THe was able to find us another room and put us in there shortly though they were really full.. I was impressed by their ability to rectify our situation. You can easily tell that the staff are dedicated to ecellent customer service. We will definately stay at this hotel again! May 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 12 hours of windshield, then this. We left the West coast that morning and stayed here for the night. We had a great experience overall. Six of us and a small pet is not esy to accomodate just anywhere. The reservation went very well, the stay was great. Parking was full, but for a late check-in, that is expected. Quiet restful stay, breakfast, and back on the road. I would not hesitate to make reservations here again. Albuquerque is our halfway point on our yearly West coat adventure. As soon as we know next year's dates, I will make a reservation for this location. March 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Welcoming! The hotel was in a perfect location for us to stop during our journey to the west. When we checked that evening a gentleman by the name of Praylay was working the front desk. He was very welcoming and informative about the hotel and area. The next morning we were getting an early start at 5:30 a.m., Praylay was still there and invited us to have some breakfast as he was setting it up. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again when my journeys take me to Albuquerque. March 18, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Improvements Arrived late on 24 Nov 2012, the entrance was well appointed, check was quick and front desk clerk was responsive. Went to the room on the 3rd floor. When getting off the elevator it went down hill from there. The hallway look as if it had not been cleaned for weeks. Trash all the way down the hallway, carpet very dirty and worn, hallway need a major cleaning. Once got to the room it was clean but need some repair work and updating. The morning we left very early around 5:00 AM, no coffee ready and not snacks to could be taken to eat (most HIE, have something out at least coffee). That is when we reliezed that the area was not the greatest. The gas station across from the hotel has bars on the windows and around the gas pumps. Did not seem very safe. March 17, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Service...almost When I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She was great and even gave us ideas on where to go eat lunch. A little while later, after returning from lunch, there was another receptionist at the front desk, she was nice but told is in so many words to NOT gather near the front desk, because of other customers who might be checking in. I felt rather offended, we were simply greeting the other members of our group who were staying in this hotel, other than this, the stay was pleasant. The selection for continental breakfast was good, my room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. I would stay at this hotel again. March 17, 2013

I have quit shopping around and now stay at the Old Town Holiday Inn exclusively. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Experience This was a week-long stay in a suite. The inn location was very close to that of the family we were visiting. Our overall impression was very favorable. The staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful, a rarity at some of the other inns we have used. Having the space of a separate "living room" made visits from other family members with small children very relaxing. The price was definitely in line with the competition, and the amenities (including breakfast) were satisfactory. Having both an exercise room and an indoor pool was a big plus. Upkeep (painting) in the common areas was on-going. The only minor issues were discussed and left with the reception desk. These included that the TV sets have common remote controls (the bedroom had a "simplified" one that did not permit picture or sound adjustment other than louder/softer and manual channel selection) ; ensuring that ALL rooms in suites have a waste basket; that housekeeping ensure adequate tissues and toilet paper are present (leaving a spare box & roll would be a good start, even if some guests might "make off" with them); and improving guest's first impression of the inn by having the sliding entry doors work smoothly and open in one movement (this may simply be a lubrication issue aggravated by lower overnight temperatures.) Would we stay at this HIExpress again on a visit to Albuquerque? - definitely yes. January 27, 2013

Sarah was on duty and she was absolutely wonderful with directions and recommendations for dinner. We had a great dinner in Old Town. Our room was stunning. Quiet, clean and huge. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Staff and Decent Rooms, but.................... The facility is nice, the staff was also very nice, but we were woken up with a bang on the wall where our headboard was. Our neighbors were arguing and must have lauched things at one another a few times and we got lucky to have the objects hit our shared wall as well as hearing the fight for hours. They make the walls so thin in these places. The guy at the front desk was such a sweetheart and tried to handle it by calling their room and asking them to quiet down, well I think they thought he was such a sweetheart too and paid no attention to him. I kept calling the front desk and finally after the fourth or fifth call the front desk clerk asked security to go take care of it because I warned that if he didn't, we were because we paid a lot of money for a room to sleep in and were not getting any sleep. I understand that they have no control over guests being inconsiderate but when their inconsideration interferes with what their hotel is offering which is a good night sleep in a clean room, they should respond to those types of complaints a little more quickly and as a matter of factly the first time so you don't have to experience such drama for hours.
