Very Nice Holiday Inn Express. Passed through on our way to Grand Canyon. Staff very friendly and made our stay very easy. Right off Highway 40, there is a Lowes, Walgreens and gas station/convenience store across the street.
If I ever pass that way again this will be my stop. Thanks guys

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ABQTony Great staff amid room issues.
Hotel was clean and well maintained.
Our air conditioner wasn't working, so after two days we switched rooms.
Staff provided us with an upgrade and we had NO problems the rest of the stay.
Kudos to staff and management for rectifying the situation.
BTW, ALL the air conditioners are being serviced this week.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FoxFour We ran out of kleenex one night.
Managed somehow to get past the tissue issue. Overall all the property was clean, quiet, and with excellent housekeeping and front desk service. Breakfast was as expected with good food and appropriate selection. Afternoon cookies were a nice touch. Property location and freeway on/off ramps were convenient to everything we wanted/needed to do. King bed was comfortable and pillow selection just fine.

We had a suite that was so spacious for our family and it was also a great price. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by twa2768 Trip for USARS Inline Speed Nationals
We visited Albuquerque for the USARS Inline Speed Nationals in July. When we arrived at the property, we were informed that our room was not ready. Instead of making us wait, Geoffrey at the front desk offered to upgrade us to a suite room at the same price. The room was very spacious and comfortable. One morning we had to leave before breakfast hours. The gentleman at the front desk, Marcus, had already put out the cold items on the breakfast buffet so we could grab-n-go some items to take with us. Overall, the staff was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. Within walking distance to a Walgreens and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Would definitely recommend this property!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Albuquerque Old Town location. The bed was very comfortable. The service was excellent. The breakfast choices were great. The location directly across the street from the DOI Learning Center made it extremely convenient.
We would recommend you to anyone staying in your area.

I've stayed in this hotel on several occasions and have enjoyed it very much during the previous stays. This time I requested a suite since I was planning to be there more than two nights and had an extra guest with me. The suite was nice and the rooms are always extremely clean and well organized. The only problem was that the room was on the corner and the traffic noise was extremely bad and woke us up too early every morning. I also could never access the wifi and called the front desk twice to inquire but there was no resolution. It could have been my device just couldn't find it. I wasn't on business so I just went to the lobby to access the wifi and found it easily.
The breakfast has a large selection and is always hot and ready. The breakfast attendants as well as the front desk attendants are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-40 & I-25 so I will continue to choose this hotel each time I'm in Albuquerque.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CooperCat Friendly front desk. Clean room
My husband and I stayed here on our way to the Grand Canyon. We were greeted at the front desk by a nice agent. After entering our room, we received a phone call wanted to know if we needed anything. The room was clean. We had the hot tub all to ourselves. On our way home we stayed here again. The same friendly front desk and a clean room.

What a wonderful hotel and the location is ideal for getting around easy in Albuquerque. The staff is amazing especially the manager on duty, I know we're not supposed to mention names but the petite pretty lady who was the manager during my stay, was so friendly and accomodating. If you give awards, she deserves one!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Conmau Great Hotel, Good Staff, Decent Location
We stayed there two nights in July 2013. The room was very clean and nice. If you have stayed at other HIE's like I have, the rooms would be considered normal size. Pool was clean, but not huge. The only major gripe I had was with the breakfast. They ran out of food on our first morning, and what little was left turned some of the other patrons into a small pack of wolves. I was (illogically) embarrassed for them. I suppose my revulsion is attributed to individual decisions of those patrons and not the hotel's lack of amenities. But my family went away hungry that morning and we got to watch the circus for entertainment. Breakfast was much better on day 2. The location is pretty good, right off the interstate and close to Nob Hill. But you still can't walk to anything of interest.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roadie2019 Great Stay in Old Town
HIE is our go to brand on road trips.... we have stayed at many between Texas and California back and forth on I-40 and I-10.
This was our first visit to this property - just west of downtown and right off I-40 to give us an easy start in the morning. Friendly staff and convenient to Old Town where we found a great restaurant for dinner. (Season's Grill).
I was in the lobby at 5 a.m. and there was plenty of fresh coffee while I waited for the rest of the gang to wake up. Kids loved the pancake machine. Omelets didn't seem quite right, but enjoyed the famous cinnamon rolls and we were on our way. See ya down teh road!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Handicap Amenities
My wife and I were put in a handicap assigned room even though we did not request, nor do we need those facilities . . . yet. However, one thing I did notice in the handicap accessible shower seemed odd. There is a seat for those who need to sit down to shower. However . . . there was no soap dish or any other kind of platform to put their toiletries while they shower. Nor was there a towel rack within reach of someone who may be slightly impaired. I thought this odd for a handicap room.
The major drawback to our experience for our one-week stay at this property . . . was the number of small children allowed to run up and down the hallway screaming as they did so. One night this happened after 9:00 p.m. I realize this is a parental issue, but nonetheless . . . it did affect the overall stay. Perhaps senior citizens should be placed on a floor that does not have families with young children. Just sayin'.

This hotel had a very nice location. However, the best part of the visit was Penny at the front desk. She was very helpful with several different issues we had come up. We couldn't have had better service! Her help made our stay relaxing and worryfree.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VV80 Nice!! room 123
We were at the end of a 12 hour drive from Anaheim when we were relieved to see our hotel located right off Interstate 40. Upon arrival I was welcomed by 3 lovely ladies and was thanked for being a rewards member.
Property was nice, not your ordinary hotel with long boring hallways. Breakfast menu consisted of eggs, bacon, cereals, individual yoplait yogurt, juices- wide variety.
A convenience store is located across the street and a small ballpark along with the Sandia Mountains.
Only negative was that this property needs a security gate. Anyone walking the streets can tap on your windows.
Other than that I would definately return with my family.
We were too exhausted from our drive that we did not use the indoor pool.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LR63 Comfortable Bed But Too Much Surrounding Noise
Our room was next to the laundry and there was considerable noise both in the hallway and with the A/C unit just outside the window. The TV did not work properly and the staff informed us they had just converted to Hi Definition and were having some problems with TV reception. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and will again because of its location. However, I do not want this room.

This Holiday Inn Express is a wonderful place to stay.
The staff is great and very helpful and willing to give directions or answer any question you may have. The hotel manager is a great guy and a hoot to visit with. This is a great location just off I-40 and with very easy access to Old Town. When I return to Albuquerque, I will stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Top notch hotel and a great staff. John C
