Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Srtravelers2 Easy access to I40 with hugh rooms
Wanted quick access to I40 so this hotel was chosen. Very easy to find, check-in was quick without problems. Room was hugh - a 2 queen bed suite with a living area the size of most HIE regular rooms with bed. Then there was a second alcove room with the 2 beds and second TV. If you were mingling people in the living part of the room I would imagine 30 folks could be comfortable. The only downsize was the lack of lighting. Energy saving bulbs that do get brighter as time allows but needed more overall lighting. Breakfast was quite a surprise. The normal, average breakfast was there but they had two women working like I've never seen workers work. I will admit most dining attendants are rarely seen unless they bring something from the kitchen. Vivian and Ericka worked like crazy bring food, cleaning tables, straightening napkins and silver ware, wiping any spills on the breakfast counter, organizing and refilling the refrig of yogurt and eggs and milk - they never stopped!! They need to be the example that you secretly video to show other HIE attendants what impresses guests. Unless you are first at breakfast you have to choose from the least dirty table - they were immediately cleared and wiped by these women. Never seen anything like it. And they were very quick to ask what you needed so they could get it for you - and to take any plates or items for trash. Keep these women Albuquerque!

Excellent location and the staff are the most personable that I have ever met. The little things like greeting and asking how my day went. The offer of coffee and a cookie. The room was beautiful and comforting. A totally wonderful experience. I will be back to this particular hotel and will recommend it as well as all in the Holiday Inn family.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. The hot breakfast was awesome. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The manager asked how things were. It was very nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room, as well as tea. And there were free, fresh cookies in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were excellent, and also the exercise room. It was a delightful stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Talisker Nice place in a neat town
This was the second time we stayed here. We were on the home bound side of our cross country driving vacation. The place is located very close to the interstate and is easy to get to and around. There is a gas station and a local attraction, The Indian Pueblo Museum and Cultural center right across the street. The center has a very good restaurant as well as a pretty interesting set of exhibits and events going on all the time. Don't cheat yourself out of visiting there if you stay at the motel.
The staff was very helpful and efficient with checkin. They recognized us as IHG members and did everything we asked and more to make our stays pleasant.
The rooms was perfectly comfortable. Everything worked and appeared to be brand new. there were plugins galore to charge all our tablets, phones, and laptops with plenty of space for all the wall wart style chargers.
The bed was very comfortable and we got a good nights sleep in the dark quiet room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Delightful place to stay
We had driven for more than 12 hours that day, and this HI Express just seemed like the perfect place to stop for the night. It was more than perfect. The desk clerk was friendly and noted our Priority Club membership. When asked for a relaxing place for dinner, she recommended the Harvest restaurant at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center aross the street. The food was great. My chicken chili relleno was among the best I've ever had.
The comfortable bed at the motel prepared us for another long day of driving. On a future cross-country trip, we might set aside time to explore Albuquerque Old Town and the cultural center and spend another night at this Holiday Inn Express.

We have stayed here 4 times over the past couple years and have always been impressed by the professional staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, maintenance of the property overall and the convenient location of the hotel relative to I-25 and I-40. The breakfast food service is always efficiently managed as well.

We had stayed at this hotel before which is why we chose it again. Most restaurants in the area are new Mexico food but really good. The location is convenient to the freeway ... we like this convenience.

This Holiday Inn Express is a great find, and great place to stay. The rooms and facilities are very comfortable and well maintained. The price includes breakfast, with a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering lots of good suggestions about local sites. Good location too. I was in town for a family reunion, and will definitely stay there again when visiting Albuquerque.

We checked-in without difficulty and found our room in excellent condition on arrival. The room was surprisingly spacious. We did have some minor issues but the front desk staff was very helpful in resolving these issues. The facility appeared well maintained and the staff were all very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TXStar In town for medical travel
My wife and I went into town for some medical appointments at the Heart Hospital and stayed at this property. At check in the clerk was rude and not friendly. She placed us in a pet room but told us that there was nothing larger IE: a suite as we had requested. She ignored us when we asked questions so she could tend to the guests that were traveling behind us that were dressed in suites. I was in my military uniform and my wife in casual attire.
The room we were placed in was stuffy. The housekeeping staff went through our bags while we stayed at this property and made the bed with trash and crumbs on the bed. The bathroom was dirty on several occasions and our pet was bothered while she was in her travel kennel. (Things had been moved in her kennel). We are appalled at how bad the stay was. The manager did comp one night of the stay though overall the entire stay was bad. This is the first chance I have had to comment about it since I have been taking care of my ill wife.
I payed for two nights out of my points and regret the using of my points because it was so horrible. It was a terrible stay. I do not recommend this property.

Our one night stay was the best at Holiday Inn Express old town in Albuquerue. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn's across the states and this one really was over the top with customer service. Penny is a gem. She sent us to Season"s for a wonderful dinner. Penny also gave us directions to get there, which was very helpful. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PureBcoolnest Would be a nice stay...
...if that Holiday Day Inn Express personnel did not bug us during breakfast. very annoying! Noticed that some people got irritated of this sudden change of scenery during the continental breakfast, especially in the morning. We were not thrilled with this employee's interruption of what could be a great experience at Holiday Inn Express continental breakfast... Since we stay a lot with Holiday Inn Express during our annual road trips, I hope we will not encounter this 'introduce myself as" during breakfast. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RoadtripToLA Name is causing misunderstandings
The Hotel is not situated in a historic old town area. If there was such a surrounding you will not find it anymore.. there is no place close by to go out for dinner or a drink, no life only a wallgreens and a gas station...
I recommend this Hotel, but just to those who expect a comfortable clean bed and a quick breakfast and a nice staff. Not to those who want do experience Albuquerque and it's old town ;)

Overall my stay at this hotel was nice, clean and no smoke musty smell. I enjoyed my 6 night stay however one evening as I was parking in the hotel lot I noticed some young girls standing in their rooms on the 3rd floor standing in front of their windows with curtains wide open, these teens were loud all night n I had to call the front desk because of the noise and jumping around. This noise finally stopped after 1am. Ruined my sleep and had to be at a training in the morning.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dawewe Wonderful experience
We have stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions. The staff is super friendly and anxious to help in any way. We have traveled to Albuquerque several times with other couples to see venues at UNM or to play golf. This Holiday Inn Express is by far the most comfortable hotel, conveniently located, and affordable of any of the motels we have stayed here. Our group likes to play table games and they staff always allows us to us the breakfast area. The turn on the beverage fountain for us as well as pop our popcorn. We play well into the night and are always encouraged to play as long as we want. The breakfast is great, and it is somewhat different from day to day. I would highly recommend you stay here.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Davybear This is the place you want to stay for V.I.P. treatment
From the moment we checked in at the front desk we were treated like V.I.P.
Everyone we met - front desk staff, housekeeping staff and breakfast staff went out of their way to be helpful and so warm and friendly. We really appreciated all the effort and it made our trip to Albuquerque that much more memorable.
Thank you! Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent rooms - this hotel had it all! Every detail of our stay was considered and acted upon by an engaging and committed staff. Excellent!
Kudos Vivian our day started off great because you made sure
we had a amazing selection of food, that it was hot and fresh or cold for those cold items. But, I will never forget about your care and concern for myself and other guests every morning while we were there.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BigAlCan Regular visitor to the area
I love the pillows and the beds are very comfortable. I'm usually there for work and don't always have the ability to get a full nights sleep before the next business day so the ability to get comfortable sleep for even a few hours is a plus. Location is good regarding proximity to where my business is conducted but the name is a bit misleading, I drove into town and drove right down to the Old Town area, thinking that is where I booked my hotel later to find out (after I fired up the GPS) that the hotel wasn't in Old Town, but still a plus because it was near where I needed to work! Ill stay there again.

My room for the night was a on-the-fly stop, and this Holiday Inn Express met my needs in every way. Convenient location off I-40, quiet, super nice service, all the amenities, clean room at a reasonable price. If my travels bring me that way again, I would stay there again with no hesitation.

The first room they put me in was very run down with bad paint and beat up furniture. The bathroom sink light was not working. They moved me to a bigger room which was much better after having to go through a couple hoops with the staff.
