Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff, very comfortable beds, great service. I enjoy my stay every time I stay at this hotel. Staff are very friendly. Great amenities June 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel and easy to find This was the first Holiday Inn Express that my husband and I have stayed at. After our experience here, we look for a Holiday Inn Express wherever we go. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and bright. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast. June 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty diaper and garbage in room Upon check in my room had garbage from the previous person including a dirty diaper. Hotel was not able to provide me with another room, only offered extra points which I did not receive. June 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet The room was very quiet and clean! Nice staff too! May 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All around positive experience! The attentive, helpful and caring front desk made this hotel a standout. We received immediate and thorough attention at every turn. After a harrowing flight, the atmosphere at the front desk put us at ease and helped set our minds to vacation mode complete with freshly baked, still warm cookies. The hotel appeared fresh, new and clean. We found plenty of parking. While the area at first appeared stark, it turned out to be well located providing easy access to all of our destinations. And the Cultural Center with restaurant across the street was a bonus. The room was large, nicely decorated and well appointed including fridge, microwave and utensils. The complimentary breakfast opened early and the food was better than average offering many choices. Computer access in the business center was a big plus. This allowed us to check in for our airline flight in a timely fashion. Bottom line: the hotel was clean, convenient, comfortable and friendly. May 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great staff We loved our stay here and plan on stay at this Holiday Inn Express every time we go thru New Mexico. May 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasant Four Day Stay Four groups of us spent four days at this wonderful hotel. There is nothing negative I can say about our stay. First thing that comes to my mind is the friendliness of the staff, whether front desk or housekeeping. Front desk greeted us with welcoming comments each time we entered the hotel and were always helpful. Many complimentary items and always great breakfast choices. Highly recommended. May 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Staff and Great Facility Stayed one night on trip through Albuquerque and then altered return trip in order to stay at same location again. Highly recommend, especially if you plan to spend time at Albuquerque Old Town and museums. May 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Friendly Staff We were there for a family get together for the weekend. The rooms were clean, and the staff was very nice. They always greeted us when we came in or left and were very helpful with directions. Located across from Old Towne and the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center, which is an easy walk from the hotel. They are building a McDonald's next door which looks like it should be open soon if someone wants to grab a bit to eat anytime after breakfast. The breakfast served at the hotel had plenty of choices for everyone, a good way to start your day. May 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Hotel - Especially for those with Pets! This hotel is located right off of 40, is very clean, and is GREAT for those traveling with dogs. There is a ton of room to walk dogs around the property around the hotel as well. May 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good first impression Friendly staff, clean room, and lots of parking space! May 20, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Good Overall, this is a good place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, it was quiet, and convenient to the things we wanted to do while there. There are two things that need to be addressed, the first of which is staffing. I pretty much only saw one person working the desk my entire stay, Penny, and she was working hard, likely without breaks. She needed at least one other person working with her. Penny was really awesome, very friendly, very attentive, and took care of everything. She just shouldn't have been the only one to do it all. The second BIG problem is their internet. Depending on what room you're in, you simply may not have internet access. My wife and I discovered if you just take one step out of the room and into the hallway, the internet suddenly works. Step back in the room, and it no longer works. We use the internet a lot to plan the next days activities, and I was also trying to get some work done. Every time we needed to use the internet we found ourselves fighting with it for half an hour, then sitting in the hall, or relocating ourselves downstairs to the lobby. Even though everything else about the hotel was really good, that one thing kind of ruined the whole experience. May 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We heart Holiday Inn Express! We booked this trip in bad weather last year through a third-party who refused us a refund when we had to cancel. I called HIE and spoke to Penny who advised me that it was no problem to move our reservation out 6mos and they would honor it. We recently stayed 5/9-5/12 and loved it! This was our first time in NM and this hotel was the icing on the cake! The rooms are cute and clean and the free breakfast was delicious! The staff was very helpful and we will definitely stay at Old Town again next time we are in Albuquerque:) Thank you for the hospitality HIE! We love being IHG members! May 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice bed, comfortable The room was clean and quiet. Slept well. No room service. You may order from a restaurant service, but it is slow. The food was average. The breakfast was nice, typical. Good value. May 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel and location! This was the second visit to this hotel that my husband and I have made, and was excellent, as before. We love the mountain view rooms here, as well as the location across from the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was actually the only HIE out of the 5 we stayed at that offered our welcome package as "Rewards Club" members - at the rest we had to ask. I will always stay here when in the Albuquerque area. May 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and a great stay! This hotel was perfect for our trip. Location was the key; right off I-40 so you can get to places but very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic! Many choices and all complimentary! The beds and pillows were so comfortable. Every one of the staff that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. This was my first trip to New Mexico and I know it will not be my last! When I return, I will definitely stay at this hotel for sure!! May 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff & Clean Hotel Staff was extremely kind and this hotel is very clean. April 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Great check-in staff. Felt welcomed as IHG member and they gladly made changes to our existing reservation. Took care of us from start to finish (including a fresh baked cookie offer that was hard to refuse). Location is just right next to main highways. Close to restaurants (only drawback to location, but out of their control). Property was clean, everything worked, gym looked great. Definite a repeat stay next time I'm in the area. April 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vacation stay Very nice, friendly staff and great breakfast! Would stay again April 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jalena, Penny & Vivian The three employees (Jalena, Penny & Vivian) ALL were more than helpful in contributing to a wonderful stay. They also recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby for dinner. We had stopped at this location a month previous & decided to try once more. This overnight stay, by far, was extremely smooth & met all of our needs. Both husband & myself would have no problem staying at this location once again. The location, near the highway, and the staff fully met and exceeded our expectations! April 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Good This is a well kept property with a nice indoor pool. Staff was great and always had a smile on their face. Unfortunately The wireless signal was extremely poor but the front desk did have cables to loan so I could plug in. On my last morning i did not recieve a wake-up call which caused me to miss a meeting and having to reschedule a flight that day so that i could attend the rescheduled meeting. The Hotel GM sincerely apologized and was great in her response, it was just an unfortunate issue. Food in walking distance is limited to one resteraunt and a gas station. I will stay here again becasue the staff was just that great and the hotel is nice and clean. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service! We stayed for one night the first time in mid-March - we were so impressed with not only customer service but our room, that on our way back, 2 weeks later, we stayed again for 3 nights...the staff was outstanding, especially Penny...she went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of - both times we stayed there! We were on a 6000 mile trip through the Southwest - and this particular HIE stands out ! April 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not What We Reserved We had reserved a 2 Queen bed suite for our girls weekend away. 3 of us planned to share the suite with a separate bed for every one, when the pullout sofa was included. We knew we would be arriving after normal check-in time and informed the person making our reservations that we would need our room held for late check-in. He said this would not be a problem. Upon arriving we were told no suite was available, even though we had a reservation for one. How does this happen?? Other options were offered, including two connected rooms. We all wanted to remain together. Afterall, this was a girls weekend away. Who wants to be alone in their own room for that? Eventually we chose a king suite, which meant two of us had to share a king bed. This was not the best choice, yet we made do. We still had a great weekend, but not because of Holiday Inn keeping our reservations. April 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sleepless in Albuquerque Two nights of waking at 4:00 am by construction noise. The staff can't change that, but they could have changed our room. Wireless was awful. We were right next to the router but apparently behind it. Great signal in the hallway, none at all in the room. Once again, no offer to switch the room until the second day of griping. I asked the front desk staff if we could depart a day early without penalty and the clerk didn't know. I had to go out into the hallway, use the WiFi to get the phone number for Holiday Inn customer service. Penny was the only helpful staffer. They have plans to change the wireless and I'm sure the construction won't last forever, but give your guests a break. Not as close to Old Town as the name would suggest. March 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really great Staff goes over and above. Comfy room, nice pool and Jacuzzi, great gym, cookies and fruit and coffee.... Had a great time and we will be back! March 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Everyone is attentive and pleasant from the moment you enter until the time you leave. I sincerely appreciate the patience of desk and cleaning staff as I was taken ill during the night and they helped provide the extra items I needed to get home. March 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Ever We have been traveling for many years and this was the BEST Holiday Inn we ever stayed at. The rooms were very clean and the beds were wonderful. The staff did all they could to make us feel welcome and were very helpful with local attractions/directions.I can't think of any negatives at all! March 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Accommodations but Weak Wireless Internet I stayed here for a convention held in another nearby hotel. They offered a great rate and good accommodations, but the rooms are spread out into long wings, and the Internet service is weak to nonexistent. I had no trouble logging in to the web at the convention hotel which hand multiple hot spots, but even in the lobby I could not get a strong enough signal to check my email and send important messages. This is the only fault I found, but it's a serious one for the business traveler. When I complained to the manager he simply told me to read the little card on the table of my room desk, which offered no solutions at all. When I asked to borrow an Ethernet cable to connect my laptop to the wall outlet, the desk clerk said he had none. If you depend on the web, it's advisable to bring your own cable. March 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Comfortable On business. Room had microwave and fridge. There is a Walgreen's across the street to load up on water and snacks. Also, a gas station on the corner to fill up your car. Attended training next door and walked each day. Staff is very friendly and nice. Close drive to Old Town. March 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel As always, HIE provided a very comfortable, clean room. As always a very pleasant and helpful front desk. My usual complaint - only sweetened cereals for breakfast, and fake butter. There are 4 cold cereals - surely one of them could be unsweetened! (and raisin bran doesn't count). This seems to be a corporate decision, as every HIE we've been in has been the same. And fake butter - come on. March 24, 2014
