Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by In town for medical travel My wife and I went into town for some medical appointments at the Heart Hospital and stayed at this property. At check in the clerk was rude and not friendly. She placed us in a pet room but told us that there was nothing larger IE: a suite as we had requested. She ignored us when we asked questions so she could tend to the guests that were traveling behind us that were dressed in suites. I was in my military uniform and my wife in casual attire. The room we were placed in was stuffy. The housekeeping staff went through our bags while we stayed at this property and made the bed with trash and crumbs on the bed. The bathroom was dirty on several occasions and our pet was bothered while she was in her travel kennel. (Things had been moved in her kennel). We are appalled at how bad the stay was. The manager did comp one night of the stay though overall the entire stay was bad. This is the first chance I have had to comment about it since I have been taking care of my ill wife. I payed for two nights out of my points and regret the using of my points because it was so horrible. It was a terrible stay. I do not recommend this property. December 4, 2013

We have stayed at many Holiday Inn's across the states and this one really was over the top with customer service. Penny is a gem. She sent us to Season"s for a wonderful dinner. Penny also gave us directions to get there, which was very helpful. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Noticed that some people got irritated of this sudden change of scenery during the continental breakfast, especially in the morning. We were not thrilled with this employee's interruption of what could be a great experience at Holiday Inn Express continental breakfast... Since we stay a lot with Holiday Inn Express during our annual road trips, I hope we will not encounter this 'introduce myself as" during breakfast. Other than that, it was a good stay. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Name is causing misunderstandings The Hotel is not situated in a historic old town area. If there was such a surrounding you will not find it anymore.. there is no place close by to go out for dinner or a drink, no life only a wallgreens and a gas station... I recommend this Hotel, but just to those who expect a comfortable clean bed and a quick breakfast and a nice staff. Not to those who want do experience Albuquerque and it's old town ;) November 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sports activity teens Overall my stay at this hotel was nice, clean and no smoke musty smell. I enjoyed my 6 night stay however one evening as I was parking in the hotel lot I noticed some young girls standing in their rooms on the 3rd floor standing in front of their windows with curtains wide open, these teens were loud all night n I had to call the front desk because of the noise and jumping around. This noise finally stopped after 1am. Ruined my sleep and had to be at a training in the morning. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful experience We have stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions. The staff is super friendly and anxious to help in any way. We have traveled to Albuquerque several times with other couples to see venues at UNM or to play golf. This Holiday Inn Express is by far the most comfortable hotel, conveniently located, and affordable of any of the motels we have stayed here. Our group likes to play table games and they staff always allows us to us the breakfast area. The turn on the beverage fountain for us as well as pop our popcorn. We play well into the night and are always encouraged to play as long as we want. The breakfast is great, and it is somewhat different from day to day. I would highly recommend you stay here. Everyone we met - front desk staff, housekeeping staff and breakfast staff went out of their way to be helpful and so warm and friendly. We really appreciated all the effort and it made our trip to Albuquerque that much more memorable. Thank you! Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent rooms - this hotel had it all! Every detail of our stay was considered and acted upon by an engaging and committed staff. Excellent! Kudos Vivian our day started off great because you made sure we had a amazing selection of food, that it was hot and fresh or cold for those cold items. But, I will never forget about your care and concern for myself and other guests every morning while we were there. November 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Regular visitor to the area I love the pillows and the beds are very comfortable. I'm usually there for work and don't always have the ability to get a full nights sleep before the next business day so the ability to get comfortable sleep for even a few hours is a plus. Location is good regarding proximity to where my business is conducted but the name is a bit misleading, I drove into town and drove right down to the Old Town area, thinking that is where I booked my hotel later to find out (after I fired up the GPS) that the hotel wasn't in Old Town, but still a plus because it was near where I needed to work! Convenient location off I-40, quiet, super nice service, all the amenities, clean room at a reasonable price. If my travels bring me that way again, I would stay there again with no hesitation. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room not up to par. The first room they put me in was very run down with bad paint and beat up furniture. The bathroom sink light was not working. They moved me to a bigger room which was much better after having to go through a couple hoops with the staff. November 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay for Balloon Festival Very good location for Old Town, Sandia Peak, wineries, and of course, Balloon Festival. Complimentary breakfasts were very good. Staff was very helpful with questions about the area. Only negative experience was the WIFI connection for the hotel was hard to connect to, and almost unusably slow when we could connect to it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful and great help Our visit during the Balloon Festival was wonderful. Your sales manager, Harris, was extreemly helpful and certainly knows the Albuquerque area well. We tried to follow his suggestions and saw all the high spots. Of course, the Balloon Fiesta was best. Our suite was perfect. This was one of our best vacations ever. Thank you to the whole staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very clean, comfortable, and central location Husband and I stayed here last year, then returned for 2013 Balloon Fiesta with total of 8 extended family members. This property is extremely nice and comfortable; they had breakfast available by 4 AM for those of us leaving early for balloon activities! We could cross 12th Street at the traffic signal and walk to dinner at the Pueblo Harvest Cafe (awesome cuisine) as well as visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Convenient location served us well being only short drives to Old Town, downtown, Enterprise, Amtrak station! October 15, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Service Not Inviting The person at the front desk checking in guests was not friendly or at all helpful. Although I am a Priority Club member, she did not offer me a welcome package, such as she did the guest before and the guest after me. She offered no information about restaurant choices (there was only one choice in the immediate area) and I felt like I had to pull the information out of her. The breakfast offered very little healthy alternatives....short of yogurt (with artificial sweeteners...ugh) and a banana as far as fresh fruit goes. No whole grain bread...just highly processed carbs. That 's about it as far as healthy alternatives go. Price was extremely high...but it was during the ballon all hotels were inflating their prices. I was there on time I'll avoid balloon festival time and this HI express. Exercise room was barely adequate...very old equipment. Not up to date. October 12, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dark Bathroom A great stay, other than the bathroom decor and lighting is too dark. It was hard for me to see to shave and my wife said putting on makeup was a real challenge with the dark wall covering and small candelabra bulbs in the mirror lamps. We were met at the door by a gentleman who said he was in sales. He was very pleasant, chatted with us and was a great greeter. Check in was fast and we were recognized as IHG Reward members. We received a nice IHG member "gift bag" Most Holiday Inn Express locations we have been to has had a pancake machine in their breakfast room. None to be found when we were there. Probably out for repair, as we have found all too often "Out of Order" signs on the pancake making machines.. The location is easy to find and parking was adequate. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Sales Manager! We brought a group to HI Express and the check in was smooth and quick and we had a great experience for as long as we stayed which was overnight. The Sales Manager, Harris, was a joy! He made our visit a real pleasure. It's always so nice to have someone treat you as family and really care about your comfort! We would definitely recommend your hotel and stay there again on a return visit to Albuquerque. September 30, 2013
