As I sat here preparing a complaint for my current stay in Colorado Springs Holiday Inn Airport, I am reminded of a an issues with my stay at Holiday Inn, ABQ on Yale Blvd. Until then I had yet to have an issues with my Holiday Inn stays. In fact since April I will have spent 30 days and nights in Holiday Inn hotels. Two weeks ago I returned from a 13 night stay in ABQ and while reviewing my bill I notice an additional nights charge. Upon calling the desk, the representative tells me that I was charged because I had made two reservations within the same time period. Because I know this was incorrect I further questioned the representative and asked him weather he could verify that I checked in twice as well; and if not then how was the second charge approved without a guest check-in. Ultimately I was credited back the amount. Although some would say this wasn't a big deal, I take monetary mismanagement very seriously, additionally as a Federal employee traveling, such discrepancies could jeopardize my travel account. When things like this occur I am forced to wonder how many people besides myself this has happened to without being caught.
